Really? I reckon you could easily say that about most of our squad and I don't buy it as an excuse. Would keep as a squad player but I don't want to rely on him You can see his potential - North Queensland Fury and the state our club has been in have hardly been environments for players to grow.

I'm very excited about this. Just the prospect of playing Victory or South Melbourne in knock-out cup games is making me wet - imagine the atmosphere at a derby cup game...

Doubt they'll change the colours. It's already a crowded market with arguably the A-League's two powerhouse clubs (Victory and Sydney) already wearing blue.

I find it funny people are complaining about the name change. It's the fucking A-League. It's a league made of corporate franchises that are only just turning a decade old. Moreover, we've only been supporting the club for handfull of years - not like the whole Wimbledon/MK Dons scenario.

May be a few issues with the new name given a club already exists with the title. Perhaps as Ando mentioned, Heart of Melbourne City FC? Not worried. As one fan said on the status; "If you lot get offered a bucket of cash you'll jump on it quicker than a seagull on a hot chip".
