  1. Just me, but I think the home kit would work better as a sash.
  2. Sorry if it sounds ignorant - but is there any chance there will be city vs knights or victory in the ffa cup?
  3. SSE up to 2,000 likes on facebook already.........
  4. why the f*ck is a team called MELBOURNE CITY playing in a kit with NSW SKY BLUE on it..... keep it red & white FFS
  5. My support is dwindling purely because a team called 'Melbourne City' HAS F*CKING NSW SKY BLUE ON IT keep it red & white FFS
  6. swap the away kit to the home one and i'm a happy man
  7. I like it.... More info: http://www.footballaustralia.com.au/news-display/Umbro-launch-official-Westfield-FFA-Cup-ball/90741
  8. Why the fuck didn't they just change the kit to the same as Atletico Madrid? it keeps the stripes and gives the board their blue....
  9. I've been screaming for ages that the perfect solution in all of this would be to change the strip to the same as Atletico Madrid - it keeps the red and white stripes yet has the blue that the board so desperately wanted.
  10. I have to say, the away kit has definitely grown on me...
  11. Rudan and Boz going off about it haha
  12. posted this in the melbourne derbyt thread - the fox sports poll for the sydney derby; "is this the most intense a-league derby?", 72% yes, 28% no. ... ... ...
  13. watching the sydney derby, fox sports poll; "is this the most intense a-league derby" - 72% yes, 28% no... the fuck?
  14. Not sure if mentioned but arrests have been laid against people involved in the fight against Victory.
  15. Liverpool's fixtures until the end of season: 16th March vs. Manchester United @ Old Trafford 23rd March vs. Cardiff City @ Cardiff City Stadium 27th March vs. Sunderland @Anfield 31st March vs. Tottenham Hotspurs @ Anfield 7th April vs. West Ham United @ Upton Park 13th April vs. Manchester City @ Anfield 20th April vs. Norwich City @ Carrow Road 27th April vs. Chelsea @ Anfield 4th May vs. Crystal Palace @ Selhurt Park 12th May vs. Newcastle United @ Anfield Don't think I really need to go into depth how massive the games against Spurs, ManC, and Chelsea (all at anfield mind you) are in the context of how close this season is probably gonna be.
  16. The Melbourne City guys shouldn't kid themselves about keeping the name - as soon as Manchester City's lawyers come knocking on the door with a bucketload of cash they'll jump on it quicker than a seagull on a hot chip
  17. I'd say a Derby is more likely to occur this way, with HAL clubs being pitted against each other more often. Also, what's with this fascination of facing off with South? I'd much rather play against the best, such as Sydney United or Adelaide City, not some washed up, mediocre, half assed, mid-table state league side. South have been actively trying to destroy us since we came into existence. That is why going to their place and wipe the floor with them would be very satisfying, maybe with a banner "You tried to destroy us, now we are here to destroy you" or the like. I am sure Yarraside could come up with something better. This^^
  18. Maybe them NT cunts will actually show up instead of fighting with police
  19. To be perfectly honest, I can see the FFA scrapping the whole 'pot' system once the competition itself is firmly on the ground and running after a couple of seasons with it. The whole idea, as many have said, is to get grassroots clubs involved - wouldn't be too much incentive for them to compete in it if it's just a-league clubs making it to the latter stages. The pot system is to ensure that lower level teams actually want to compete in it. EDIT: Only thing i'm relatively upset about the whole pot/draw system is that it might be a while before we have a derby in the cup or play south melbourne
  20. In the FAQ section on the website it states, regarding the final not being on a weekend; "This was not possible for 2014 given the busy 2014/15 Season Fixture due to the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the 2015 AFC Asian Cup. It is the intention for the FFA Cup Final for 2015 onwards to be on a weekend, to emphasise the importance of the FFA Cup Final within Australia’s football calendar and consistent with national knockout competitions in other countries."
  21. depending on how this shit works, at the very least the semis and final should be on the weekend How the draw works: http://www.footballaustralia.com.au/news-display/How-the-FFA-Cup-draw-works/86839
  22. Interesting that all games will be played with extra time and penalties with no replays
  23. main points so far; - Starts in July - Dec 16th final - Games played on Tuesday nights - Fox Sports has broadcast deal - Major sponsors to be announced in coming days - Emphasis on grassroots being able to host games - Winner to potentially compete in AFC Champions League
