Politisation of infrastructure drives me nuts. Its why we end up with shit roads and no train to the airport

We need a dictatorship to avoid all of this political mumbo-jumbo. Long live the glorious People's Worker's Republic of Australia

The NPL covers about 100 “top flight” clubs, across all the states. That means the drop in standard from the A League is huge. A second division or whatever you want to call it, would concentrate the talent in a much smaller group, so this would be much closer to A League standard, giving fringe players a real alternative.

Would also most likely compete in the same time period as the A League (summer instead of winter) meaning it would be a viable place for talented youth to be loaned out to/scouted from

  3. Atkinson. Got absolutely fisted by Kosta and Leroy all night. Looked inexperienced and nervous. That being said, I'm actually shocked that my second worst hasn't received a single vote or mention, Jamo was absolutely awful tonight. Yeah he hit the bar, and I love Jamo, but everytime he got the ball he turned it over and his crossing was awful all night.

  4. Not sure where to post this, and I'm probably slow to notice, but the club have deleted all of the women's sides social media accounts, choosing to merge them with the men's one. Great move imo, should give the WLeague side more exposure on our social media channels rather than their own

Strong call. You're narrowing the field somewhat by mentioning trophies, because the men have won only one. I'd hesitate to put her ahead of Bruno and Mooy. But she's up there with them.

Imo it's easy to get caught out by the much larger hype surrounding the men's game and therefore the mens side. Don't get me wrong, Mooy and Bruno are phenomenal players, and having them at City has been truly incredible. But if a player in the men's team had the same impact as Fishlock has had in the women's side there would be absolutely no question that they were the best player in the clubs history. From an objective point of view, Jess Fishlock is Melbourne City's greatest ever.

Tasmania wouldnt get more than about 5,000 at first but the sporting landscape is crying out for a Tasmanian sporting team. The hurricanes are all they’ve really got, no rugby, no top-level basketball, still no actual Tassie AFL team. For me that gives it a strong case. If you exclude Tassie on the basis of low supporter numbers then you should exclude other bids that will take supporters from existing teams - so no 2nd Brisbane team, no South Melbourne, no Freo, no Port Adelaide, South Sydney debatable....?

Plus, in contrast to the rest of the year, Tasmania is actually pretty awesome in the summer months.

As I’ve previously stated, there should be zero or two NZ teams. Having one is a waste of a license.

Hobart is a great town too, would be a mint away trip

Feigning offence and derailing the conversation whilst completely ignoring the real issue? Are you sure that you're not a lefty? :hmm:

I based it off who i think is the best player in each position that currently plays in the league, not form, exposed or otherwise. I appreciate some will pick it the other way.
For me it comes down to a) who i think is a better player and b ) who would fit the team best.
I rate Bobo as a very good player, but i think he's far more one dimensional than Bruno and is an easier player to remove his influence from a game. There's no doubt if we are doing an in-form XI then Bobo is clearly the first picked striker.

If injury isn't an issue, surely Rhyan Grant gets the nod at RB over Wilkshere

I wonder why I always think about suicide

As it's you Strider, I'm 99.9% sure this is a pisstake, but just in case it's not, please do yourself and everyone around you a favor and talk to somebody. Whether it's a mate, a family member, a significant other or a co-worker, just have a chat man. Seek some professional help. If this is serious, which I'm pretty sure it isn't, you'll be okay if you take steps to get help. If it isn't serious then haha lol

I was thinking surely after what happened last night when he was out, his knockers would realise the role that Malik (and his ilk) play in a football side.

    Then I looked on Facebook......

Our fans are genuine idiots. Malik has been easily one of our best this season, particularly over the last month. We really missed him last night, and Brattan's game suffered in his absence as well. Hope he's back for next week
