I don't understand how 50 people signing stat decs can be more effective in getting the owners attention than 2500 people holding up placards, banners and numerous social media pages. I understand people have their opinion on the social media thing and that is fair enough but in the overall scheme of things if it's for the greater good (which is keeping the colours) then why not get behind it?

Yeah the placards will be strategically placed. Won't really be wasted on the non TV side. Hoping but not confirmed that there may be multiple banners including some on the TV wing. But only if the club gives us the ok, funds look ok and if we have enough time.

Where about are the cards going to be given out? Details just being finalised now but just around the stadium and Goschs paddock etc.

Flog Hunting Material

Papers have been contacted but without any luck so I have sent a few emails to some English papers in case they are keen. They are unlikely to want to do a story on it as they will not want to get on the wrong side of City for future stories. Also think Aus newspaper editors, as evidenced so far, are looking to push the colour changes so there is that "EPL glamour".

If anyone is interested in handing out placards this Saturday please DM me, need the numbers so help is needed and appreciated. Particularly if you are seated in areas other then the home end.

So we have exceeded our target for our initial idea but I ask all to donate who are intending to in the coming days to still do so as funds that we use will all be going towards a possible banner and other things on the day. If we do receive a great influx of donations and we have exhausted all ideas for the campaign then the money will be going towards trumpet repairs and new drum skins so rest assured your money is being put to good use! And also a big thank you to everyone who has donated!

It's not even my second fav code of footy... But watching a game live with a proper league crowd is a fun experience. I'm a Roosters fan (mildly) and went to the St George vs Roosters game. Atmosphere was really poor I find League crowds to be really bogan and dull. Still a decent night out but.

Why is hashtagging faggotory? It's a cheap, and easy way to market something.

These guys are not amatuers they obviously already know what our position on the colours of the club is... For one thing its a pretty safe assumption that most supporter groups are not going to want see their club change its colours. The real question is whether they give a crap about the fans feelings on the club's colours. I understand that I am purely speculating but I get the feeling that they think we will be pushed over fairly easily which is why I am placing a big emphasis on making our feelings well known so it is in the media etc

I would rather sign Michael Misfud on a 9 year $10 million marquee contract than change colours. If they are trying to bring in new fans changing to sky blue will alienate existing EPL fans. Why would an avid Man United/Liverpool supporter who has a casual interest in the A-League want to go for a team that mirrors their rivals? We aren't the EPL, we are the A-League. In saying that I am quietly confident that after next Saturday they will know what the fans want and stick with red and white.

I really should have sigged this. Think Box Hill will win again this year. More to do with Hawthorns unbelievable depth than our recruiting. It's a shame Garlett isn't playing at all because he would have absolutely killed VFL. Will also be interesting to see how the stand alone clubs go this year. Shame that Williamstown got such a low crowd on the weekend.
