  1. Lets go lads! The same boys I bought to CCM will be there plus 2 more after they heard how much fun we had. As frustrated as I am with many aspects of the club atm I will be there and am buzzing for Friday night.
  2. Forecast is for rain so predicting a 1-0 loss and a crowd of around 6,000
  3. We will probably manage an away win before this happens. For a club that sells itself on fan engagement they don't really rate communication with fans: - Shit press conferences that don't provide any explanations - No communication with fans on injuries If the club continues on this path in the coming month they will not only alienate the casual fan but many of the clubs core fans, which could spell disaster.
  4. This gets said a lot, but the problem is it's unimportant now. It's completely academic who should have been selected as our head coach going into our 3rd season. Aloisi was given the job, so the debate about what should of happened way back then is academic, and it won't help us in the present. This question is, should Heart stick with Aloisi, or gamble (as changing coaches mid-season is always a gamble) and change coaches mid-season? I think the next 4 games are distinctly winnable (even the WSW match, they have started rather slowly, and we're playing them at AAMI), so I'm going to hold my judgement on Aloisi for 3 more games. How can you hold you judgement? It's quite clearly been shown the 9 times out of 10 he will be out coached. The only way he will win another game is if he coaches against the jason hoffman of coaches. Even though he was missing kewell and Orlando it's still not good enough. He has thrown away our original game plan just because one player is missing. I do agree sacking a coach will not solve all our problems, but it will at least give the club a quick shot in the arm, just what a club with a small fanbase needs. Aloisi is the Jason Hoffman of coaching
  5. Hardsy, I understand and respect your calls for unity but his position is untenable. We must not forget that despite it only being 4 rounds into this season he also had 27 games last year to get it right. And did he? Hell no. He plays lump ball to a 5'5 striker who is his own signing, a sackable offence in itself. His sub choices are mind bogglingly poor and his continued positivity towards losses and draws suggests to me he not only doesn't possess the tactical ability to out manage other sides but he also doesn't have a 'win at all costs' mentality, which is pivitol. I know this is the A-League but do you think a SAF would come out after a 3-0 away loss and be happy with the performance? Hell no, even Mike Mulvey was pissed off with his team and they won the game! 3 and a bit years of mediocre performance and an abysmal away record suggests that enough is enough. We as supporters need to unite and show up to the game Friday but we need to express our disappointment at what is unfolding on the pitch. For me, the board have done their part, the recruiting staff have done their part, the marketing department have done an amazing job increasing memberships after last year. The only people who aren't doing their jobs are the players. And the manager has to be held accountable for this because they are not using the right tactics and motivational techniques to get the most out of his team. I can tell you that I believe our XI out there against Brisbane today was better than theirs yet we still lose 3-0.
  6. Still better than Aloisi. But to be honest I wouldn't want JVS either. Give me Ian Holloway, Rado Vidosic, Mark Rudan, Ante Milicic or a Gombau type.
  7. This. It's not like he can go out on the field and score all those chances we had. I disagree. Look at any good coach and how they actually influence the team. JA has not influenced the team to do anything good at all Exactly. It's not just this year but all of last year as well. My question to the forum is what do we do now as supporters? I asked this after the Perth game but got told that we couldn't do much. I disagree. I am not exactly sure what to do but as supporters there has to be a point where we say enough is enough and we stop accepting the mediocrity that we have all become accustomed to. It has been 3.25 years and we have seen nothing more than glimpses of what this club should be achieving. We all have to put our hand up and say no we aren't going to accept this anymore and put the pressure on the board to change coaches. It may sound dramatic but the immediate and long term future of our club is at stake and that is not something we can compromise just because JA kicked that goal or because we think he's a pretty good guy. We need to stand tall and be passionate and express our disappointment in what is becoming nothing more than a joke.
  8. Difference between Mulvey and Aloisi: Mulvey: "We got 3 goals and 3 points but i am not happy with that performance... That performance is not acceptable" Haven't seen it yet but we all know the shit that Aloisi is likely to spin "Unlucky, injuries, etc". EDIT: Aloisi has just said "That's the performance we want away from home" Pathetic. Brisbane have a winning culture, our culture is shit. Aloisi is a flog.
  9. This. I'm not sure whether he in particular is a poor public speaker or there is a shit culture within the club but either this is extremely frustrating to hear as a paying member!
  10. Broich is not playing. If we don't win today or at least get a point then it has to be #aloisiout EDIT: Damn, he's playing
  11. No reason why we shouldn't look abroad. Think how good a Ian Holloway type would be. IF we lose this weekend by a fair margin and dish up the same rubbish what is next for us as fans? Protest? Petition? Nothing?
  12. This. Ultimately a teams performance should fall on the head coach. Of course players, board etc all play their part but head coaches are the motivators, make the tactics and select the side. If the side isn't peforming and in our case we have our best yet starting XI in three years then there is something wrong with the head coach. If we get flogged this weekend we will be lucky to get 6k to the next game.
  13. I actually have a weird feeling we might win, reckon willo and misfud will score in either half for a 2-0 win.

  15. So your saying that it is gonna take 5 years to gain 4,000 people, I think we will gain a lot more in that time What I mean by good results is pretty consistent top 6 finishes, lets say 3 times/5 years. If we do happen to win a premiership or 2 (which I honestly believe we can) this would obviously, make a huge difference and would maybe even see us creep up to 14k plus within a few years. @Shahanga Your absolutely right, there is no way Brisbane would be where they are today without that sustained success (fairly obvious statement I know). I would go as far to say even if they had only one year of glory instead of the 2 they would still be around that 10k mark. But fair play to them they have achieved success and garnered very decent support in the process. Let's just hope we can do something similar in the next 2-3 years!
  16. Has been stagnated for a couple of days now....as I said we won't see a large increase till the 5 gamers come in. In terms of the crowd Saturday I think there were probably 8k there just but still that's not a great figure for first game of season on a bright sunny day and we all probably have a right to be worried about where these numbers are going to come from. All we can do is continue to bring our mates to the game, hope they enjoy it and incrementally grow the club. I am as impatient as they come but we just have to wait for good results, and probably 5 years before we start seeing consistent crowds of 12k+.
  17. I reckon with the 5 game memberships we should sit somewhere around about 7,200 to 7,500 as our final figure. A good figure but as stated before in another thread many people just seem to buy memberships so they can attend the derbies. At least we get the money out of them but.......Speaking of which when did the 5 game memberships come out last season? Would anyone have the approximate figures on how many 5 game memberships were sold last year aswell?
  18. You should be ashamed of yourself. IIRC you posted in the CCM game thread "I ripped farts louder then those gypsy fucks. I couldn't hear em at all on the TV". So how about instead of bagging out the 'shithouse' crowd numbers you come to the game and support the team instead of watching it on TV. I wasnt being super serious but I admire your investgative skills. FWIW I'm not in the country. Is hard to detect sarcasm over an internet forum. Have to admit our crowd was a lot poorer than expected! They should have had the VPL game on afterwards as people from the VPL would have left soon after the game. I really hope we can get an average of at least 10k outside of the derby games. A combination of Kewell playing consistently, Misfud back, Engelaars return (still a while off) and simple winning this should be achievable. Lot more games to go but was pretty dissapointed in our numbers. In saying that had a ripper time in the Yarraside for the first time and bought along my 2 brothers and a mate, one is already signed up and the other 2 said they will this week because they loved it so much. Bring on a 11k plus crowd against WSW
