  1. Where? Facebook There's your problem... It's bloody everywhere... Not just on Facebook. Correct. I saw plenty on Facebook but also read some garbage in the paper and radio on Friday had its fair share of morons on ABC. Any excuse to bash Abbott, even through the tragic death of 300 people. Disgraceful. Ah, my mistake, I have been trying to stay away from those kinds of things because it has become a political shitfight, and I don't want to read about it. I dislike Abbot, but using an event where 300 innocent people died (some of whom were prominent AIDS researchers) to slander him is really low.

  3. Well, it is impossible to know how much Russia was involved, even though the rebels in that part of Ukraine are (probably) Russian backed, I highly doubt that Russia was directly responsible. With that being said, I am not adverse to an investigation, I think that bodies should be identified and recovered, and really, if Russia doesn't allow it, they'll look a hell of a lot more guilty in the eyes of the international community.
  4. Congratulations Germany, deserving winners.
  5. I hope this game is televised because I reckon it'd be a top match! Wollongong just makes sense to me as it's a largely populated city with strong football roots, it has produced high profile players in the past who can endorse and inspire the locals to get behind the club, it already has a perfectly sized stadium in WIN Stadium (23,750 capacity) ready to go and is within a reasonable distance of the other NSW clubs which is good for local rivalries and extra away support. Exactly! Also, I think Sydney are going to play a game there this season? Yeah, against Newcastle! That would attract a few I would imagine. Yup, this season is going to be make or break for a Wollongong team. If they get good crowds the FFA should seriously consider it.

  7. I think Wollongong is the best option for the next team. A good crowd for the FFA Cup game again Central Coast will go a long way in my opinion.
  8. They're already edgy about Wellington so I doubt it. Isn't that mostly because New Zealand is a member of the OFC instead of the AFC?
  9. I also don't know whether people from South-East Asia will support a team playing in Australia's league.
  10. Completely agree. Only real alternative is 1 or 2 from se Asia . Indonesia Singapore Malaysia. Similar to the Phoenix. 14 teams would be perfect. The big issue there would be travel time I'd assume.
  11. I agree, it wouldn't make a whole lot of sense to hold it in Ballarat for those reasons. The only way I could tolerate it being held in Ballarat is if Aami Park is unavailable for some reason.
  12. I am in close proximity to Ballarat so it doesn't bother me too much, however, why wouldn't it be at Aami Park? Is it unavailable?
  13. I personally haven't witnessed anything troubling, but it seems really convenient that this 'anti-racism' campaign is coinciding with the FFA's club identity policy. Yeah, Asians have integrated pretty well into Australian society, especially in business. The amount of Asian's in suits you see walking down Collin's Street on a weekday is remarkable.
  14. Agreed, I love Japan, and Japanese culture, but honorable is the last word that comes to mind when talking about WW2. Speaking of which, what's your opinion on a possible treaty with Japan? We are already allied with Japan through our relationship with the states so I am not opposed to such a treaty or for us forging stronger trade links with Japan. However, the memory of the Japanese treatment of P.O.W's in WW2 is still felt heavily in my family. Ah, sorry to hear that. Speaking of which, I can understand why countries like South Korea and China are a bit nervous about Japan remilitarizing. Even though the likelihood of Japan going to war with any of them is slim to none, the memories of WW2 are probably never going to go away. Although that can be said about all countries that were involved.

  16. Voted 3, but they all look great. Good work to the people who made them
  17. It would be a decent kit if it wasn't for the sponsor essentially ruining it.
  18. Even though I disagree with some of the tight rules that the FFA has, I am uneasy with the idea about winning titles because we found ways to cheat the cap, exploit loopholes, etc. The onus is on the FFA now to either close those loopholes so that 'creative accounting' won't and can't happen or open things up a bit.
