  1. Khaldoon never says Heart, just refers to us as Melbourne. Even the interviewer used Heart.
  2. I reckon the delay is caused by the trademark of the Melbourne City name. I looked on ATMOSS earlier and it still has both the MHFC Holdings and Original Melb City applications as pending. I have no doubts we'll be able to get the Melbourne City name, but you can't go and announce anything when you don't actually have it.
  3. One more season and he will qualify as a non-Visa foreign. Would definitely keep him ahead of other players.
  4. "At this stage of my career finances are not important for me, I want to enjoy my football, I want to compete and I just want to play more." A-League = Fitness As long as he isn't injured... So we could get him under the salary cap then, considering he doesn't care about finances?
  5. Shane Lowry has been released by Millwall. Would smash it up in the A-League and plays in the position we need to fill most importantly. Worth a shot?
  6. Losing cred by pretending to be Mansour now, should've just stuck to being anon.
  7. If the Sheik is indeed correct, I would hope Westpac remain associated with the club, be it as back sponsor or a community partner. They are a blue chip Australian company and it would be beneficial to hold onto them.
  8. La Trobe > Seaford > Casey in my opinion. Casey is just a terrible facility, it's in the middle of nowhere and the wind there never stops. Seaford is already built so we could move straight in but personally I'd love for the club to build something at La Trobe, both parties hold a great partnership at the moment at hopefully it can get even better.
  9. Almost couldn't believe my eyes when I read that. Heart and Lampard in the same article, never thought I'd see the day. Obviously not a credible source and most likely won't come to fruition, but still nice to see we're going hard after top players.
  10. I don't think it would as New York City is a completely new club. Also clubs in New York traditionally wear blue from what I have heard I was more referring to Etihad sponsorship, how much orange they have on their kit etc. Anyhow, others say that it's about the stadium, so it holds little to no relevance to us.
  11. New York is making an announcement tomorrow, some reckon it could be about their kit. Hopefully it gives us more of an idea of CFG's plans for us.
  12. Should get him on a guest stint at the end of MLS season. He's a Red Bulls player, don't reckon they'd let him join the sister club of their new rivals!
  13. This exact replica thing if it happens is a step too far for me and I think I might be done if it eventuates. As sad as it is to get attached to a sponsor, Westpac have been with us since the start and if they went as well as the shirt colours and the name then it is definitely not the same club as I chose to support back in 2010. I really don't want to believe this because they have said they don't want to turn us into a mini Man City, but what else can I believe right now? This whole colours dilemma is actually stressing me out. First thing in the morning I hop on here and see if there has been any new articles. I think I've been fairly lenient. I would be satisfied with a sky blue home shirt with a red trim and the traditional kit as the away kit, and I also have no problem with the name change. Sacrificing these things so we can go back to what Heart originally set out to do, like develop tomorrow's Socceroos, I thought was a fair trade for the investment. But there does come a line. Westpac recently signed a new 3 year extension to be our sponsor, but I'm sure CFG could work their way out of it somehow. The bottom line is; an exact replica of the City kit will see a LOT of people jump off. We are not a mini Man City. We are Melbourne Heart and you can fuck off if you think you're turning us into the former.
  14. Did Munn raid all of the representatives homes and strip them of all digital devices? Surely someone can report back.
  15. 10,003 for tonight. Nice to finish the season with an above average crowd.
  16. Just a typical Heart match. Fall behind, take the lead and then fall behind again. Hoff's goal will go down in A-League folklore. I thought the red and white campaign was fantastically executed and credit to Yarraside for the Kewell chant at the end of the match. Sad to hear about Orlando but apart from that it really can't get any worse. Bottom of the table, the only way is up.
  17. 18 and raining is the forecast so some real football weather finally, much like our corresponding fixture against NRMAFFAWSW last year.
  18. To everyone involved in this, you can hold your heads very high regardless of the Sheik's ultimate decision. I don't think I've even been prouder to be a supporter of this club alongside you all. Can't wait until Saturday when we all unite as one under the red and white. True until I die! #KeepTheRedAndWhite
  19. An earlier poster mentioned that they was considering switching. Forgot who it was.
  20. I heard his son is a shit goalkeeper...
  21. If you say you're out, and if you even consider switching to Victory then you really aren't a true Heart supporter anyway.
  22. I'll still be in. I've suffered too much heartache (pun intended) to jump off a franchise (ultimately that is what it is) now just when successful times are ahead. Same players, same coach, same ground and we'll still have the same history.
  23. If Kewell doesn't retire and all he wants is minimum wage once again, IMO he is too good not to sign on, even with his injury problems. Still shows flashs of brilliance and when he hasn't been injured we have seen that he can still set the tempo of the game. Engelaar I'm hoping we can fit under the cap. I wouldn't sign him as a marquee obviously due to the talent the City purchase has opened us up too but we still haven't even seen the best of Orlando. Imagine a full pre-season from the big man!
