jgulab15 Posted January 30, 2013 Report Share Posted January 30, 2013 Hey guys, I've posted before but I have come up with some chants for Patrick Gerdhart and Tex Walker If you do use the chants give the credit to Paul Williams if you know him (he made up the Garcia song) so here is the Gerdhart song- its the same tune as the steven Gerrard song Patrick Gerdhart.. Gerdhart He'll clear the ball 40 yards His big and his bloody hard Patrick Gerdhart... Gerdhart And this is the Jeremy' Tex' Walker song, it goes to the tune of Walker Texas Ranger theme song (look it up on youtube) here it is Controlling us at left back, Jeremy Walker is out of sight Cause Tex Walker is upon you Anyone he plays is just to easssyyyyyyy When your in Melbourne look behind you Cause that’s where Tex is gonne be! The Aardvark Posted February 20, 2013 Report Share Posted February 20, 2013 Was thinking about this last night and have a rough draft of a chant for Walker. Sort of based along the lines of "Power" by Kanye, although not sure the uh oh bit at the very start is in the right key for us. The chant borrows more from the timing of the very first 4 lines in the song than the melody or anything, but goes something along the lines of this: He is the One, the Only, Jeremy Walker He'll take you on, and he'll get past ya When he gets the ball, we chant louder He is the one, the only Jeremy Walker Emphasis can be put on the last line as we should chant louder, and theres a few options for it like "He gets the girls/you know we love you/the man at right back"etc. Just an idea. His name is still not Tex. I know I am biased but I reckon "Jezza, Jezza, Jezza" is a good chant for the kid because it be sung when he wins the ball of the attacker and begins to steam foward. Its also a chant that perhaps the PPL behind YSIDE could do as well. And there is only one Tex Walker, and sat I behind him for two halves last Saturday at KP and the bloke was terrible and lazy - Nobody would ever call Jezza lazy.
