  1. How many senior players do we actually have signed for next season? Seems we have lost a lot but yet to replenish half our stock. Victory seam to sign someone every five seconds, yet fore us it seams our announcements are few and far between. Even Adelaide have 20 players signed. Mind you after releasing one today they would have had 21 from a possible 22. Give us transfer confirmations please. It's less than 80 days to the start of the season. Surely 80 days is not enough to bring players in and teach them the heart playing style. Seems like someone may be sleeping at the wheel.
  2. I heard topper Stanley has signed to another club, but that will not be released as yet. He did leave the jets to take on this new offer. Did he sign for the heart as insurance? Has goods transfer been confirmed?
  3. His latter part of the season was fairly promising. Particularly when he filled in at home as the lone striker after an injury to babalj. Though I must admit his early performances were poor. What would have been if in that first match against the jets, he actually scored? Mind you he was also fouled in the box which was waved away. From then on it was down hill.
  4. 10 plus is a little high. At best his a number 2 striker. He doesn't play the lone striker well. I would expect he assist just as many as he score. But I think 5-6 is too low. 8 would be a fair number.
  5. He has my support the whole time. I recall having a healthy discussion with a few others here that Williams is far more important that shroj (or however you spell his name). Seemed only a few agreed. Where is Wayne now? Remember strikers are worth more than defenders. Jimmy's post explained why.
  6. Is this another b-s topic? I'm starting to think that the credibility of this forum is begin to ware thin.
  7. ???????????? and the above 20 posts relate in what way to the heart kit ????????????? Lets get back on topic please. I personally don't mind the strip. in Europe all clubs slightly change their strip each year. This forces die hard supporters to buy the latest merchandise and consequently create greater revenue for the club. I bet over half the supporters who puchased isc gear with now buy kappa gear. after all, isc was so yesterday!

WTF is going on with this topic! i recommend closing this topic down. One person is talking about spelling errors, while others are taking pot shots at others. This topic has lost ALL its purpose. Close it down and let people start topics that relate to specific issues/matters. Lets keep issues relevant to a specific topic. This may help eliminate 'off-topic' posts. I don't think the merger was really a good thing after all. (the need to create this forum that is)

One thread for transfer talk actually turns me off this forum.....at times that is. This forum is starting to loose it's way when topics are all merged. This forum is an example of how not to operate. I too am in favor, and have always been in favor, of one topic each time a rumor etc comes up. This way we can all comment relative to the topic.

Therefore player wagers are not reasonable. What's reasonable about clubs loosing money? I would be peeved if we record another big financial loss at the expense of paying players 4 times their worth.
  11. Thats why melbourne heart said...NO He has been soooo good that he has coached at over a dozen clubs since carlton. i always though good coaches stay and never move on. was he ever moved on???? ohps!
  12. y vpl and a-league are two different games. lets not forget money plays a big part is a clubs success in the vpl.

i would hope that our club does not pay one cent above the 85% minimum. I believe the 85% is still far too much. When you take all this into account it's no wonder why vpl players are paid soo much. Adding to that its no wonder half the vpl clubs are broke. The "examples" set by the a-league should not flow down to lower leagues. i'm amazed at how much players in state league 3 are paid.
  14. Munroe was rubbish at carlton! his best will only be as a number 2 to a number 2.
  15. this is info the club should be putting out. Get with the program heart! start feeding us info that may actually get us excited. all i have heard from the end of the season to now is that we have released half the squad and 2/3 of our coaching staff.............and have only signed 1 player. 99 days to go and this is the only info we have got???????? I bet this info has helped increase membership interest!

Thats what P'ves me off about the a-league. They over pay on player wages. On what plannet would srhoj be worth 200k??? Lets be smart business people here. Pay a player what his market is worth, not what his playing ability entitles him to. Not on any planet would srhoj be worth over 100k. In my opinion players are over paid in this league! This is the reason clubs fold, or suffer financial difficulties. Srhoj is not the only one. Remember a player would rather play in Australia than in second rate conditions in other parts of asia etc. Thus pay what the club can afford. if all a-league clubs operated in this manner, players would not be over payed! The great part of the a-league is that it is a great feeder league. The a-league offers exposure that many clubs in asia would find hard to match.

why start a false rumour? comments like that degrade the credibility and integrity of this forum! It's ok to comments on matters that you "believe" may occur, but to make it up makes an a** out of you. Lets please restore dignity back into this forum.
  18. Who is this "Gray" i read about? Nice to read a confirmed signing for next season. how many free spots do we still have to fill? So he didn't sign based on the payer wage???? Lets home this is not just a splash and dash on route to asia. Either way as long as he is mildly better than shroj then i will be very happy.
  19. With a youthful coaching structure comes enthusiasim. Sometimes older coaches can be stale. I am happy with ja. He looks very eager. Similar to when pep took over barca.
  20. Is this a confirmed signing?
  21. Nice to see a slimmer Williams (according to photo's from 442). It could be the start of a break out year at the heart for Williams. if he gets his mind right, i think he could easily be our number one striker this season.
  22. If reports are true, the acquisitions of Smith is HUGE! This man, in my opinion, knows more about technical football than anyone in Australia. Remember it was the FFA that asked him to go to Glory to help them. So disregard his performance at Glory. Even Fergi couldn't have saved Glory then. If its true, its a bit like Eade with Collingwood.
  23. Love the idea. the reasoning behind your concept is exactly the same as the one i have been recommending on this forum, but may i add far more detailed. Hats off to you LR9. This incentive clearly would encourage supporters to become members. This is a similar concept adopted by ccm. They offer 3, 6, and all season pass tickets. The club should not consider supporters who do not purchase full season memberships as a loss....but rather an opportunity! The concept behind LR9's membership structure should be commended.
  24. Please tell me how to do it. if that s the case i will buy a season pass rather than the 5 gamer. I hate the fact that last season i sat behind the coaches bench, yet on the other side of the pitch it was dead. Thats where i want to sit, on the other side of the coaches bench in the sun
  25. I get so angry because the heart marketing team appear to care little for those supporters who wish to further support the club, but may not wish to commit to a full seasons membership. Our club is closely modeled to ccm. We have a small market, and similar crowd numbers. Yet the mariners offer three and six game memberships, and these members can sit in fantastic seats on half way. The roar offer three game memberships. Even victory offered three and five game memberships available for purchase pre season. I bet they do the same this year. Yet our management team seems to live in la la land. Even afl clubs offer small game packages available for purchase pre season. Maybe someone from senior management should give me a call. I guarantee my ideas will increase crowd attendances.
