  1. 'or the man city takeover' haha flogs. There must be a ban at Fox Sports and TWG on mentioning how shit heart was under JA, and how our turn-a-round has really only been achieved because of JVS.
  2. More to do with the numbers, this was a must win game for us to keep momentum going, and pressure on those teams around us. At the end of this round we will be either 5-6 points off 6th place, and that'll just keep increasing the pressure on the boys to perform, something they don't do well under. I know the numbers. If you want to look at our situation realistically, you have to detach the emotion from it. A difficult task after that performance I understand. But our season is not over, and finals is not over. It's great that we have the chance to strive for the finals, which is still within reach, however difficult it is. It is still within our reach, but we really need to win every game in order to achieve that. This was always going to be difficult, I think this was the week when a lot of fans (and maybe even the players) really started to believe we would make finals, so that makes the loss a bit harder.

  4. Finals still possible, but looking as unlikely as they did a few weeks ago. Disappointing loss, Jets aren't a good footballing side and the pitch was shite today which i think caused our boys to bang it long and hope. Ramsay had to be dropped, had two really good chances in the opening 15 mins and couldn't even get his efforts on target despite been under no pressure. Fullbacks were pretty useless as well, until Germano dropped back. Four wins from the final 5 games, can't see it happening.
  5. pretty ordinary half. Ramsay as being well shit this game, I still don't see what value he adds to the team over say Kewell or Garruccio in the LW position. The surface looks awful as well, might make it difficult to keep the ball on the ground effectively.
  6. Langerak is a good keeper, made a shocking decision, but Matty Ryan is first choice for his club, I'd rather take the keeper who's getting game time.
  7. Pla Played a great first half, then all went to shit in the 2nd. Ryan cemented as no.1 keeper, we look shit at the back when Good went off as well. Not sold by Davidson and Franjic as fullbacks.
  8. Did he get asked about any changes in style at the Heart? Or state anything he did wrong while coaching?
  9. I've always loved the bonfire chant... Build a bonfire, build a bonfire, And put the scum on the top, Put the Wanderers in the middle, And burn the fucking lot. Could sub in whoever we play for Wanderers.
  10. Their win against wsw will give em a confidence boost, so they're probably looking forward to playing us now. This is a must win game for us, need to climb above the jets on the table.
  11. Did the players come over and celebrate with the y-side? The BT Sport feed cut out right after the game ended.
  12. Three wins over the next three games are absolutely vital if finals are to be a reality. Because the final three are Roar (A), Adelaide (A) and WSW (H). I reckon we'd need 4 wins from 6 to lock in finals. Gonna be tough.
  13. If he keeps up this type of form I'd love to see him stay next year, although hopefully under the cap. I would hope that Engelaar would resign for less, given the way that the club stood by him after his injury.
  14. Great win by the boys, and some stellar efforts by Engelaar and Garruccio. Thought the whole team played really well, but still a few normal from Hoff, Mass, Mate, and Ramsay. Would like to see Garruccio get a start next week over Ramsay. And holy fuck 4-0, suck on that tards!
  15. Great first half by the boys. Tards will be upset about that red, did seem a little tough but fuck em.
  16. This is perhaps the best result for us, Victory will be deflated, tired, and missing key players. But still need our boys in red to bring their A-game, taking things for granted will land us in a lot of trouble.
  17. Don't really know where chant suggestions are meant to go so started a new thread. Have a former housemate who's a Yeovil Town boy and they sing this one... ei-ei-eio Up the A-league table we go, When we win the title this is what we'll sing, We are MELBOURNE, we are MELBOURNE, Johnny is our king/Mansour is our Sheik The Glovers normally sing this after going a goal up.
  18. Was very happy to see this score line, boys are doing the club proudly. Next week will be big for fans. If we can get a good win against victory, then that should add some more to the band wagon. Added disclaimer I was not at the game, but would dearly love to be back in aami park to support this revival.
  19. Only woke up to see the second half, as I wasn't really expecting too much. At first it looked like they'd try and defend a 2nil lead, but when Davey williams and Mass broke to score the 3rd I was put into a state of shock, couldn't believe we were winning 5-0 away. It was hands down the best game I've seen us play in 4 seasons, we looked so confident on the ball, and passing was great (only a few turn overs or wayward passes). Engelaar in the middle was a beast, but I also thought that Behich and Hoff put in solid games. Can anyone tell me what the first half was like? Similar standard or did we get better throughout?
  20. I love to see more information about the Youth team as well. More articles and vids. Hell I'd even settle just to have the NYL team added to the players page.
  21. Given that there's a fair few fires, especially near my home town, the flares were pretty stupid. But other than that it was a good win in extremely difficult circumstances. Hope it doesn't have too much of a negative effect on the boys recovery considering we travel to wellington next weekend.
  22. Said this in another thread but I'd love to see Juan Arango brought over. Out of contract at Monchengladbach, but wants to stay in the bundesliga. His left foot and free kicks would tear the A-league apart. Despite been cashed up I can't see the new owners springing for any transfers fees, unless they are very very low. Cacau is out of contract at Stuttgart, and so is Ciprian Marica at his club in Spain.
  23. Marquee for 2014/15 Juan Arango, out of contract at Monchengladbach.
