Slippery fish to slot 3 past us.

Got home late. Avoided Facebook to get score updates. Best part of all this was the ability to fast forward and skip it all.

Need some more hoff appreciation in here.

Well im an old memebr this is severely pissed off they I can't buy little man Jaxon his Melbourne City home shirt for Christmas. Had enough of the club ignoring the fact that Melb City supporters may actually have kids or infants and not have kits available for them period. Decided to go it alone and get my little one a kit made from overseas. Seen the design and it will look mint. Definite business opportunity for someone who can sell shady merch pre game at the imp. Well thats the end product. Just waiting on it to be shipped. Now my 1 year old son will have a City kit as well. Where did you get it from? Any links? Agree, can you help with where you had this done, My 3 yr old girl wants one. Did it set you back much?

Mulvey gone. So they have gone the quick action way about it. What do we do!? Do we wait the season out? Or give it a few weeks? If results continue going this way it be interesting to see what happens.

And we have to put up with the dreadful kiwi commentary.

This. I thought Redmayne played well, all things considered. Scapegoat. Having said that, it's another one goal loss, when it feels like we perhaps need a Newcastle v Brisbane capitulation to really get the blowtorch turned on us by the media. He cost us the first goal of the game. That changed EVERYTHING. We were chasing the game after that. That lead to risks and chances that Redmayne saved mainly because they couldn't finish. Look at Janko's header that hit the post. It was the near post and Redmayne was beaten. A strike either side of him and he is beaten. As far as I'm concerned, Redmayne was one of about three or four that was culpable for that first goal. Yes he stuffed up (of course he did), but we did everything short of rolling out the red carpet for Ibini to make his run down the left side. And I think if people consider going down 1-0 inside 10 minutes to be an almost hopeless position, that we're 'chasing the game' from that point, well that says more about the team as a collective. It hasn't done our boys much bloody good when they've gone ahead that early in a game. Just seems like every time Redmayne concedes a goal, people think it's 100% due to him stuffing up, but the same people can not accept it when he does some good things as well. In most cases, I'd say that the reason the Sydney players failed to finish was because of the implied pressure that Redmayne put on them (a hallmark of most of the failed one-on-one opportunities we've had over the past few seasons: the opposition goalkeeper moves towards the player with the ball and makes himself as big as possible, Heart/City player with the ball then shits his trousers and either kicks it straight into the goalkeeper, or doesn't even get it on target). The problem is that most times a keeper makes a mistake it will result in a conceded goal if we are playing a competent team. Redmayne may make 10 good saves a game but if he makes 2 mistakes and concedes 2 goals then his good play counts for nothing. If we concede a penalty we may as well not bother to even formalise it with the shot on goal as its a certain goal every time. But I just don't understand what the difference is between a Redmayne brainfart resulting us a goal and, say, Duff blowing a golden opportunity for a goal at the opposite end (right up to Duff's 'good play' following that) just minutes later. Doesn't it amount to the same thing? From a personal perspective I find the constant one-on-one misses just as demoralising as all the times that the defence capitulates and concedes a soft goal. But everyone (including me) loves Duff and everyone hates Redmayne, so it's predictable how the supporters will respond to it. I'm just saying that it's about time people stopped pointing fingers and realised that these results are pretty much on the entire team. And the only way they'll fix it in the short team is as a team. Agree. I don't hate redmayne. But yeah he makes a blue but so do the defenders and strikers who blast it into rod laver arena.

Would like to see how many goals that have gone passed him due to shit defending.!
-
Thanks redmayne. Your one on one saves did spare us from further embarrassment. Last goal would of been tough to defend since wielart gave the ball to janko on a platter.
-
Our playing style reminds me of that Simpsons episode where they just pass it backwards and forwards between defenders.

BIg games, Good time slots, Great weather ... Yes! -
End of the day I want a manager to express his anger about results like yesterday. Show something. Show the players this wont be accepted, Show them you are not a walk up start make them earn the right to play,.
-
This. We need a defender but not him... I thought this as well glad I wasn't the only one.
-
Sadly once the re take was being set up I felt this would be the final result a goal. Credit where credit is due was a great hit and Redmayne never stood a chance.
-
Smeltz may be the one to watch for them.
-
Agreee, But what's done is done. Id like to say I want the players to learn from this but will they? Time and time again we fail to hold onto leads. The commentary kept saying CITYS 2nd half fade outs and at 2-0 up I thought show em their wrong city. But they showed them why they are right. CLEAR THE BALL DAMMIT!!

It kills me to look at Adel at the moment. Last season a lot of downs and up's but the players believed in him and his tactics, Now they look very good, and we have gone with a manager who has not exactly set the world on fire.
-
Good luck should it get up and going. Hopefully it works it be good to have to ends/.

Had chances and took them. Hate to admit it but I'd back mate to miss his shot normally. But to his credit he smashed it past the goal keeper. Williams did well put a lot of pressure on where he could. Duff was quite but did a few nice things. Mooy was and is a machine. I loved having villa here and will always remember watching him. But the team looked more balanced and the mids came back to help the defenders. Credit where credit is due and as such well done Ramsey he looked a little more confident and at times had mooy going 2 on 1 with broich Melling looks to be a machine too also brown put in a solid effort when coming on. What I saw I liked. It wasn't perfect. But it gave us all hope. It went against everything that has happened this season. We go 2 up Brisbane get 1 back with plenty of time left but to the players credit they held strong waiting and again took their opportunity. I hope this is what kick starts our season. Confidence from this win should see us in hood stead for next week. So let's all get to aami park get the big crowd in and let's bring home another win. Well done city. -
Owned by city not even a year thou. WSW owner run and pushed hard by the FFA

After watching Adel last night we are a long way behind them in playing style. Their passing and first touches are all class. All we tend to do is hoff long and hope. We just need to focus on the basics first. Some players need to have a good look at Mooy and Duffs work rate and decision making and take a leaf out of their book. ANYWAYS heres hoping to our first win of the season. -
