  1. I don't think Chelsea wanted him, but otherwise that'd make the most sense. I say it's the fiancé
  2. I've seen on twatter that in only 3 weeks (aug 23) we're meant to play AU in the red centre. Add to that the Lismore trip and we're keeping Etihad nice n busy.
  3. I've always loved this tune (cos Galatasaray fans sing it) but I've never suggested it because WSW fans use it. Their version is singing "Let's score a goal". couldnt remember if it was used by WSW or not, think thats where it originally became stuck in my head though. kinda similar to the tune of the GolGol running down the wing which will hopefully be recycled again soon!
  4. Fast & Simple (what our tetrace usually is) and really catchy. Whoooahh Come Melbourne Score goal Sing a song Come on melbourne Also if the trumpets come back for the upcoming season then espana needs to be as well!
  5. Windley blows prematurely on these articles to be the 'World Exculusive' as he often likes to proclaim. I'm thinking Koren talks weren't near as advanced as he's made us think. Obviously Koren was at the friendly but that could have been more us trying to Woo Koren rather than introduce him to his new club. Maybe he's playing with us rather than us playing with him and looking for a bigger fish. Saying this Koren will now probably be announced tomorrow 'as the herald sun first revealed' hahaha
  6. No more than once a game. If that.
  7. Nah don't think CCM will be taking their big bottles up for it ... http://m.footballaustralia.com.au/central-coast-mariners-news-display/News--Mariners-to-take-on-City-in-Lismore/91354/2
  8. Well there's still the obligatory two friendlies against A-League sides. CCM seem to have been confirmed as one of the two games. Yeah CCM in Lismore again. Wonder if the peninsula select game will be on this year.
  9. Windley is terrible, need Davitovic to finish his holidays! LB, RB, DM, ST would all be nice. Thinking the latter two the most likely.
  10. Now I do t know who controls the clubs twitter and what they might know or don't know. But they've only favourited one tweet in 20 hours and that is this one. @NYCFC: .@CReynaNYCFC: "We're going to use the rest of the week to make a decision that's best for the club in terms of getting him ready for 2015." https://twitter.com/NYCFC/status/492320562988191745
  11. Zappas was SEN just quoting stuff we all already know re: JK. Out I contract December, bought a house in melb, kids going to school here etc. said if things don't work out with him players like Bresh are on the radar. Nothing new.
  12. Robert Koren is Slovenian and Seo Hyuk-Su is from South Korea. Pardon the pun***
  13. At the start of the off season my ideal marquee was Tomas Rosicky and in Koren i see we have an A-League budget version of him. He fits the bill of the style of marquee I've always wanted, of course not of the profile but he's still exciting. As Marquee it's underwhelming with what City brings. He'll probably be on a tenth of what Lampard and Villa will be receiving at the big sister. But with Koren, Duff, Mooy, Villa, an Aus marquee and another visa to be signed the squads a big improvement, and is the most exciting we've had to support! Ol' mate Munn said there were a couple of exciting names, Koren seems to be the first and now we eagerly await the next! If only we had a couple of decent full backs and keeper. And with lampard set to be announced in the next 24 hours officially for NY we might get some clarity on if we'll see him here or not. If the FFA are willing to put funds behind Cahill coming to the league I don't understand what they'd have against Lampard being loaned as 5th visa till January. It'd be as big for the league... But I guess we aren't Sydney.
  14. If evans didn't count as visa does that means he'd be signed to YT, thus meaning he doesn't count to overall squad numbers, thus meaning we can sign another australian if our cap allows?
  15. When I think of Munn talking about signings, it takes me back to the day before the Fred announcement were he said something along the lines of "strap yourself in, this is going to be big." I love Fred but looking back I was disappointed. Munn's a talker. Hopefully now we have the resources and money to make the names exciting! But as always take the news with a grain of salt. Potentially we could end up with int marquee, Aus marquee + lampard on loan and paartalu in cap. (Jizz!) But also we could end up with Poole, a not so known marquee who's a defensive midfielder and that's about it until January. The waiting game continues!!!
  16. Personally id rather have marquees from the start. Even with Villa being guest and potentially (but unlikely) lampard or xavi on loan as 5th visa for the first half of the season. Win and bank as many points as we can, and then what better opportunity for our garuccio's and mauk's to step in and show us what they have. Whilst playing with 2 settled and intergrated marquees.
  17. Came to post the same thing! Do want. Solid player, great age and allows focus of 2 other visa spots to move away from a DM! Come to Melboune Erik
  18. Oldham: "42' Wilson is receiving a lot of space on the right hand side and again he puts in an intelligent cross"
  19. Did Shony have a run in the first game? Wonder if they're nursing him through the preseason, I saw him in the Duff video training so he must be semi fit.
  20. Strange they're trailing him, 24 & playing in league 2. Why not contact James Meredith! The greatest striker in A-League history was playing in the 7th tier of English football a year before coming here, don't see any problem with trialling a guy from the 4th tier. Smeltz wasn't a visa player, if this guy was australian id have no problem either. The leagues grown and improved a lot in the 7 years since he was plucked out & we aren't the Wellington Phoenix. Anyone else think these English trailists could be trailing to a) help fill numbers because we have so few players over there and are being looked at for NYC, not us? Having 8 visa spots and a 3.1 million cap I think they could be looking at some young cheap players for them. And there's no NY team yet to trial for.
  21. Strange they're trailing him, 24 & playing in league 2. Why not contact James Meredith!
  22. Chris Chantler is the blonde chap who people have been trying to work out from those photos.
  23. She doesn't sound too pleased http://www.standard.co.uk/news/uk/frank-lampard-christine-bleakley-wedding-on-hold-transfer-9604186.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
  24. Good stuff! Enjoyable listen. Just with the 2 visa spots, an international marquee would take one of those meaning we'd have 1 left.
