Shroj at least serves a purpose, even if it is an archaic one. David Williams is being exposed for his lack of technique in a team that demands it in the final third. His Heart career to date has been riddled with poor crosses, poor passes and poor touches that have resulted in turnovers all over the pitch. In the dying stages last week, his attempt to switch the play evaded everyone in Red and White and found the touchline, killing what was our final chance on goal. I don't want to be overtly negative, but his technical deficiencies are going to make life very hard for him at the Heart, particularly when he can't seem to use the gifts he does have, which are mostly in the athletic category, to their full potential. Fingers crossed he'll find his feet.

Or self-indulgent wank disguised as a social comment/experiment and lapped up by the banksy fan chorus and so called 'intellectuals'/social commentators who are incredibly programmable and critically passive when it comes to popular sub-culture 'artists'???

I wish we had signid Noth Korea's Jong Tae-Se, the guy is ace, but he joined Koln last week after tearing it up in the 2.Bundesliga over the past 18 months. Would have been classifide as the "+1" Asian visa spot too.

I read a great quote a while back about Sir Alex Ferguson's recruiting philosophy: (paraphrased) "We try and get the best, hard-working players." At the top level, everyone has talent, but not everyone is prepared to outwork. If Eli started to really work hard on the field, he would be devastating. However, he is young, often it takes a bit of time and maturity to realise that it takes more than just natural talent.

The whole mockery of the situation was demonstrated by the fact that it was Patterson that came on for Maycon. This kid should be starting again (As he showed when on the pitch) instead of being benched for underperforming senior squad members. At least Maycon was only given a one contract, something is really amiss with David Williams – Is it just me but it seems like as if since the start of year he has actually put on weight.

Maycon has proven over the past few weeks that his not only up to A League level but not even up to NYL, so we wasted a International spot on a guy who would not get a VPL game. VPL standard is def higher than NYL, and no side would put up these crap performances from a CF when relegation is a part of the equation. Meanwhile Richie Cardozo was calling out for a A League berth last year with 18 goals in a great season for Hume City and ended up going to the Belgium second tier due to the lack of offers. FFS: The worst thing is that they are both 25. Apparently JVS had been tracking Maycon for a while, why could he not track a player playing up the road from MH's training base???

I've been to Griffin Park a few years ago for a pre-season friendly (versus my team, Charlton Athletic). And as you can imagine, red and white are not colours I've got a problem with either (both Charlton Athletic and Denmark).

disagree. Thought shroj was great tonight, one of our better players. Won most 50/50 tackles, had some nice touches, won a lot of balls in the air which we have missed. Can only think of him making one mistake where he was caught on the ball in the first half for being too slow, but apart from that he played well. People don't realise how important he actually is to our squad and to our midfield

Goodwin was very solid, really impressed by his game tonight, Good and Colosimo were also extremely dependable at the back bar a couple of moments. Seriously Babalj should've started on the bench, he thinks he is Ronaldo, unfortunately we don't really have another centre forward apart from him and Hoffman. Look we had some ripper chances, didn't convert, but so did the Visitards so although I hate the outcome a draw seemed a fair result in the end, although we could've really capitalised on getting the three points if we wanted too, but finishing killed us! Also fans wise. I hate the other Melbourne team but I hand it to their supporters for standing up for the whole game, everyone in the 3 bays around Yarraside should be standing throughout the game and even the people in the back rows of Y-Side, surely they can stand up for the whole game, make it a ripper atmosphere and chant loud! Bring on the Jets
