Jimmy
WESTERN Sydney Wanderers are in the box seat to secure a financially smart deal as emerging Socceroo Adam Sarota's wage bill will be subsidised by his Dutch club. Socceroos legend David Mitchell was handed a mandate from Utrecht to investigate loan opportunities for Sarota outside of Europe. Mitchell confirmed Wanderers are interested in claiming Sarota's services after Adelaide United coach John Kosmina told AdelaideNow the forward was "asking for a decent contract". But it's understood Australian clubs would only have to shell out the A-League's average wage - $120,000 - for the season while Utrecht funds the rest of Sarota's contract in a one-year loan deal. "He would be a perfect fit for a lot of A-League clubs," Mitchell said. "Adam wants to come back to Australia and play regularly and force his way back into the Socceroos. "Utrecht said it would be a good move so he has the chance to play regular football at a good level." Mitchell said the A-League was Sarota's preferred destination, but Utrecht have also said he could sign loan contracts in Japan and China. http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/soccer/western-sydney-poised-to-sign-emerging-socceroo-adam-sarota/story-e6frfg8x-1226426485540

biancorosso7
It would be a great signing considering that Utretch would be willing to pay a large portion of his wage. Adds depth and experience. And there's no visa issue.
mus-28
Probably the best Australian player available on the market, so we'd be stupid not to look at him. Would give us more quality depth in midfield and with Fred & Thommo both over 30 we definately need the added depth.
mario
But weren't FA subsidising these three over there? So after they weren't being played and the fans weren't to kind, I heard that this is their last year and haven't a place to go. marteaux
Sarota yes, but Zullo and Oar are first team mainstays I am fairly sure. Not 100% though
