Libero
Under the agreement, SBS has the rights to: • One LIVE Hyundai A-League match per week on a Friday night; • All Hyundai A-League Finals Series matches on a one hour delay; • The Hyundai A-League Grand Final on a one hour delay; • A weekly highlights show; • Online and mobile rights including simultaneous streaming and highlights; and • Radio rights. http://theworldgame.sbs.com.au/news/1129433/Football-returns-to-free-to-air-TV-on-SBS/
JD.
http://theworldgame....-air-TV-on-SBS/ Pretty poor that the finals are shown on a one hour delay tbh. Even if just the grand final was live.
LR9
That's probably what the FFA wanted, to protect ticket sales. It's not really going to harm fox sports, because if you had FS you would watch it on there anyway, ad free, etc.
NuggetsMcGreggor
great news. although i expected more money tbh considering the numbers afl and nrl are getting. hopefully the league have kept digital rights and will look to launch a streaming product similar to nbl.tv. this seasons' friday night games are relatively even, hopefully it doesn't turn into sfc/wsw V *
LR9
The positive about this deal is that the next deal will be negotiated a whole year before the next AFL and NRL deals, which means there will be much more money in the kitty for the broadcasters. Whereas there was almost $2b tied up in the other two codes in the past 6 months.
xXJawsaXx
I am quite happy with this deal. It is about time the A-League was shown on FTA, and I think it will be a great way to draw new people in who cannot afford Foxtel .
cadete
I really think that these Friday Night games could have signficant impact on PPL becoming more aware of the League and becoming fans.
