2016/17 National Youth League

I've noticed that nothing seems to have been said anywhere about the youth league since last years grand final, and I feel I need to ask: is it still happening this season or have the FFA quietly dropped it without telling anyone (or taking down it's site)? And if it is happening, when are we going to find out...well...anything??

The site is still there, but the last entry is about last season's GF. http://www.y-league.com.au/

But that's nothing unusual with FFA and the various clubs. For example, City's web-site still has last season's W-League squad there rather than the signings so far for this coming season.

These are the sorts of areas where, IMO, the communications break down. And where I think the required improvement will deliver more interest in the game as a whole.

As above, even our own club could improve its performance. Failure to reply to posts on "City Voice" being an example.

Reasonably confident that they announced last season as the last due to all clubs finding NPL homes.

Really need the NPL season to overlap the A-League season more so than currently if the NYL is completely gone.

City has a NYL side preparing and training ATM. Franjic also trained with them for fitness

Is there much change in the squad season to season ?

a lot of changes to last years squad more young ones and a few from the youth A league ones. keep an eye on arzani and Cavallo as they have both had a bit of A league time so must be doin well at training etc. I reckon some other players will also stand out too. things looking good for city.  still pretty hard to get into the a league team.
