biancorosso7
Has the Terrace considered, particularly in light of recent events, the concept of having a Terrace PR representative/spokesperson to speak to the media? I have read a number of articles with what seems to be representatives from the RBB, the Cove and the Den. Perhaps it is also an opportunity for a step forward with Club relations and other Terraces re: security issues.
bazzatron
You should do it. JK. Don't do it. But you're right to some extent. It needs to be discussed.

Engaging in discussions with the Media are unnecessary and a potential minefield for The Terrace. Yarraside like most others Terraces in both Australia and around the world has a Core Group which deals with the running of the day to day duties of The Terrace each week. One of these duties is Club Relations, YSIDE Core has had a good working relationship with MH for a while now and issues such as Security are discussed with the club on a weekly basis. Popular Post spain82
why would we bother speaking to the media who has a biased, anti-soccer agenda operating at present? With absolutely ZERO evidence on what happened on the weekend the opinion that it was "heart fans" was formed...and how? Because he was male? Because a blue jacket is standard issue with MHFC supporters? I have seen worse go on at the G' on boxing day, A hell of a lot worse go on at Collingwood - Carlton, Punch ons in the stands at Storm games - but thats just lads being lads, jolly on grog...thats acceptable. The incident was surely just one of many punch ons that occured on Satuday in Melbourne. But yet this incident received more media air time than a 21 year old male being stabbed to death on a Fitzroy street. Wheres the vicpol man-hunt for a knife wielding murderer in an area not far from where our pub is, where a few of us live?? Answer that Melbourne Media Edited March 18, 2013 by spain82
Tommykins
Whoever did it would have to be the worlds greatest orator or would be on a severe hiding to nothing.

Love how nothing is ever mentioned about the game just about the trouble true journalism is dead now it's only about fabrication and misdirection. What happened to letting the people make their own minds up.

Tranerz21
In theory it would be nice but knowing the media they will distort it to make us look bad and as a supporter group one person shouldnt speak for everyone Edited March 19, 2013 by Tranerz21
Braveheart
Regardless of what is said to the media, it will be twisted negatively and cherry picked for the bits they desire for the journalists own narrative. It's a time honoured tradition. This won't be happening.
