bazzatron
Not only will this be great for replays etc, but it will make the ref more accountable for their decisions.
dRoy
I like it. Imagine it in the country leagues. Haha. All the abuse they would record
Duchess
Definitely a cool thing to watch. Can't see it ever being in football though, or at least not for well over 10 years
bazzatron
And what do you base that statement on?
Duchess
They don't progress quickly with technology. Especially not something that could be more controversial than beneficial.
bazzatron
Its hardly goal line tech, its for entertainment. The decision is still up to the ref, and if he gets it wrong then we can see now if he is blind or just didn't have the best view. Can only be a good thing imo. Duchess
fifa doesn't view things rationally. I agree it should be put in. But it puts added pressure on the ref and as i say, i dont see it happening soon
Baresi
Pretty sure there's a rule somewhere about not being able to hear the ref's conversations, which is why we don't get the audio to the ref's mic when he's communicating with the officials on the field. Would assume that'd mean that if this ever were to go through, it'd be without audio.
Bozza
Even without audio this would be brilliant, I would say even if they just use it purely for educational purposes it would be great, we all know how often we pull out hairs because of the Refs! This could actually help them, however, professional Refs is still the next step the A-League needs to take... This could come next?
malloy
They don't progress quickly with technology. Especially not something that could be more controversial than beneficial. Once FIFA are aware of it they will dismiss it, there will be then an incident where it would be beneficial to England in an international match they play in, FIFA will still say it is not required, fast forward a couple years the lack of "Ref Cam" will some how benefit England in an international match and then FIFA will have a change of heart and will do everything in their power to make sure the technology is implemented...
