  1. Well, on Friday night he was every bit as bad as the "Cactus" from last season. Screaming into the microphone whilst the usual banal half-time "entertainment" was on. Not to mention that he called us a "cheer squad". Are you guys seriously telling me you don't realise it's just the same guy, now with hair?
  2. Isn't that what a forum like this is for? If someone didn't go to the meeting for whatever reason, they should still be able to put forward their opinion on here without being told to sod off. And telling people their "opinions mean fuck all" isn't the greatest way of getting new members on board.
  3. Massive amounts of respect. What a ride it has been. Can't thank you all from the bottom of my heart for being a part of the MHFC family, and bringing some of the most amazing displays and spectacles! Oh what a ride! I will not say Good-bye, because I know it is not for most of us, but Thank you Yarraside. Thank You
  4. Looks like they're relaying half the surface, I guess they will do the other half during the season (if it actually needs to be done at all) to save time now so they can use it during the season?
  5. Man he throws out some cool shit sometimes! Do you remember the one he put up of the Yarra end? The Vector? I will try and find it... Awesome Found it. Mad and the original he took https://pbs.twimg.com/media/AjLOgg_CMAADVv9.jpg
  6. LOL Post Harry Kewell...
  7. I would if our squad wasn't so limited. Seriously we have space for 16 Aussie players... 16... A joke. If we have the spot remaining come a few weeks out from the seasons start, and he has played really well in the NPL then yes, for sure, but otherwise I can't see that risk being taken
  8. Seriously should invest in an iron press and find somewhere to buy the numbers cheap... crazy how hard/expensive it is
  9. south west corner of the campus
  10. I love the kid, but his career took a real hit after the infamous incident. He was headed skywards but has just never got his spark back. I think he is likely to end up in the NPL, probably at the Knights if they can squeeze him in, and who knows if he can get going again then maybe, but I think his A-League time has come to an end. Shattered!
  11. I will be calling him "John"

Yes, and so was Garcia, Marrone and Behich.. They all scored. Not saying I don't like the kid, but that comp was certainly nothing to go on.

I'd also suggest the possibility that considering some of Man City's major sponsors won't be ours for some time, a season or 2 at least, perhaps they could personally sponsor the player like Harry and Jeep... give a play an ambassador role for 250k and a salary of 50k? I mean it just depends on how desperate they get really. I know for one thing we will have as full a squad as is possible, and they will use the guest and loan spots to the full extent, this has been made clear.
  14. I know what the other locations they have scouted are, and Latrobe is the furthest out from the city, to drive anyway. Most of them are North/North East. Also, for our club to really get some decent attention in the media, we do need to be closer to the city. Even Latrobe is bad enough, and then we went to Epping... The only reason we managed to get as much attention from the press is because of HK. Fucking Journo's are super lazy.
  15. The Latrobe project is large scale, it was part of Sidwells long term plans, might even be the only long term thing they were looking at. The new owners are keen to develop existing relationships such as this one, but I imagine if they hit as much, or even half as much, of the hurdles that the previous owners had with the site to get a project greenlit, they will just pick another one. I know for a fact they have been scouting multiple sites and no doubt had developed plan A, plan B etc etc. I really like the look of that Esite thing in North Melbourne, you could really have a gem there. Buy the land you need now, build the training facilities there, and if we one day happen to grow our club enought that AAMI park is no longer big enough, we can redevelop it into our new home. Right in the city basically... Would be sick!
  16. Already gone Not quite sure how you get this. He will be back if his training doesn't go brilliantly in Turkey I can assure you. My problem with Aziz was this whole "must play every week" thing. I don't think it helps him develop, and creates some strange psychological problem that I can't quite explain or really understand properly but I can see there is something different there. He should obviously be wanting to start every week, but the fact that he was basically on a contract that said he must doesn't help him at all.
  17. You're analogy is incorrect. When you lease a car, can you just freely go and change the colour? No, you can't. It is actually a crime because it is something you don't own. Your analogy is not necessarily correct either. If is a financing lease then you are wrong if it is an operating lease you are correct. The correct comparison is McDonalds and a store owner. They can't go changing shit unless OKed by head office Yes I see where you have gone there, and it is much better. The point was, They don't actually have the right to just change whatever they want, because all they have paid for is the lease to operate the club. The FFA own us, and as a result all decisions outside the general business of the football club must go through them, hence their application to the FFA. Which also gives us a little bit more of an opportunity to have a voice on such matters.

  19. Well I hope you're right. You need to understand though that this forum has been full of people saying "oh don't worry that'll never happen" and "why are you protesting, they won't be that stupid", whilst in the background the Sky Blue momentum has grown and grown. So far we've seen our club name go under bus and I guess we are sitting back and thinking - bugger maybe we should have manned the barricades on day one against these guys- they don't seem to be the football wise gentleman we were led to believe. Apart from a few nice words all the other evidence points to an act of total football bastardry. I am curious as to what evidence you have seen? I have seen none, merely speculation from the media.
  20. Just chill guys. It will all be okay!
  21. Why do I need to follow up with them? I spoke to both YSide Core AND mu5 prior to kickoff. Now if these 2 entities are not communicating between themselves that is no issue for me.
  22. Tesla, for the record. I spoke to MU5 PRIOR TO KICKOFF.
  23. I believe that was in no small part to Aloisi, but I am sure he will find his feet soon enough
