belaguttman
From the FFA site Melbourne Heart fullback Aziz Behich looks set to sign for Turkish club Bursaspor in the next 48 hours. It is believed Behich, who was absent from Heart training on Tuesday, has completed his medical in Melbourne, and Turkish newspapers, including Hurriyet Daily News, are reporting the deal is imminent. A spokesman for Heart said the club could neither confirm or deny the transfer. Bursaspor are currently fifth in the Turkish Super Lig, and have just signed Anton Ferdinand on loan from Premier League side Queens Park Rangers. Bursaspor are reportedly hoping to have Behich in time for visit of Galatasaray on February 3.
Ademchee61
We're a great feeder club..
Rocco Jones
We're a great feeder club.. Munn and JD have already shot it down. FWIW we are always going to be a feeder club, the only way an A-League club will avoid being a feeder club is if they cannot produce anyone worthy of the next level. I do not mind us selling players as long as: - we are clever in the deal - we continue to develop young players in our YTS and eventually our senior squad - spend a decent amount of the transfer fees/spare salary cap to sign replacements

belaguttman
We were clever with the Eli deal and that's why he's likely to return. Red Star were stupid (if the bit about the regular agents fee is true) and that's why they aren't keeping him.

Red Star were stupid (if the bit about the regular agents fee is true) and that's why they aren't keeping him. That's right. I think we did well with our deals for Good and Hamill and also replaced one of them with a quality player in Gerhardt. We are ALWAYS (unless there are Mad Max/Waterworld type changes to world football, I know most here are too young, IMDB it) to be primarily a feeder club. We must be proactive. Sign promising youngsters for as long as possible, sell them off at right time, clauses, have an eye on replacements whether they be YTS or expereinced, having two players for each position etc.

Deviant
If this is true, good on him. he deserves better money than what he's getting here...
HeartLK
In b4 never should've let Goodwin go I agree! When I first saw Goodwin play for the red n white last season, I was amazed how good he was. Very fast and worked very hard. Shattered that he left. sharpy
Happy with Mitchinson, although obviously not at the same level as Aziz. Good potential nonetheless and in 2 years time will be signed by Barca.
