australia vs lebanon IN LEBANON!!!

Recommended Posts

Okay so another game for us on the road in lebanon, but I am starting to get fed up with the fact that we only seem to be playing away friendlies.

Here are the facts (time period lune 2011- december 2012)

last 13 games plues upcoming four games

7 friendlys

3 at home

4 away

10 wc qualification matches

wc qualification matches at home-4

wc qualification matched away-6

of the three friendly matches, two were in june last year and the other was in october- against MALAYSIA!!!

our next home game is in 2013 so that means that in 2012 australians will be able to see their socceroos a whopping 2 times, and if you go back a month to nov 2011 you will notice that that is the same amount of games we have played in oman.

2011: 5 wc qualifiers 2 home 3 away

4 friendlies 3 home 1 away

total 5 home 4 away

2012: 5 wc qualifiers 2 home 3 away

3 friendlies all away

total 2 home 6 away

How are the FFA meant to get fans if they dont have any games on for the socceroos? Australia is clearly not a destniation teams want to come to but we have got argentina and greece in the past why cant we do anything now.

My opinion

Apparently its only 5000 Lebanese dollars. $5 or so American... Around $4.50 Australian.

Honestly, we are over worked, under paid and charged through the Fucking roof for shit that is dirt cheap elsewhere.

...and people want to complain about customers buying stuff online!

Squad:

Mark Bresciano (Al Gharafa, Qatar), Alex Brosque (Shimizu S-Pulse, Japan), Tim Cahill (New York Red Bulls, USA), David Carney (FK Bundyodkor, Uzbekistan), Jason Davidson (SC Heracles Almelo, Netherlands), Adam Federici (Reading FC, England), James Holland (FK Austria Wien), Brett Holman (Aston Villa, England), Mile Jedinak (Crystal Palace, England), Robbie Kruse (Fortuna Dusseldorf, Germany), Mitchell Langerak (Borussia Dortmund, Germany), Ryan McGowan (Hearts, Scotland), Matthew McKay (Busan I’Park, Korea Republic), Lucas Neill (Al Wasl, UAE) , Jade North (Consadole Sapporo, Japan), Sasa Ognenovski (Umm Salal SC, Qatar), Nikita Rukavytsya (Hertha Berlin, Germany) , Adam Sarota (FC Utrecht, Netherlands), Mark Schwarzer (Fulham, England), Matthew Spiranvic(Al Arabi, Qatar) , Archie Thompson (Melbourne VIctory), Luke Wilkshire (Dynamo Moscow, Russia).

Holger Osieck leaves out Chris Herd because according to SMH he believes he "isn't good enough" and wasn't convincing in recent premier league games.

I Seriously have to question Holger's credentials if he selects Archie Thompson over someone playing consistent premier league games, and scoring even. FFS
