That was so painful. That was the week we had three games... and won none of them if I recall correctly.

I just read that Del Piero, Heskey and Goodwin are a class above everyone else in the game being played right now. Shame we had to lose him.

Never take anything for granted. Wellington won their first game and have players out. Zero pressure for them to win. Who knows how they will react. Heart have the pressure of showing that last week was not just a Derby special. Hoping it's an easy win but wont be surprised if it's an ugly draw.

We might not sign anyone fancy but I think that's okay as long as we have some luck with lack of injuries. I'd take a fit Fred for the season than a fancy new signing.

I wish Eli didn't want to leave and that he wanted to stay but I'm glad Heart didn't stand in his way. That would have been a big mistake. He would have been unhappy and who knows how that would have affected his game or the team's harmony.

Okay I'm calmer now. I was just disappointed with the Bolton signing as I'm not a fan. As for Babalj: letting him go if he wants to is the right decision. Who wants an unhappy Babalj in the team? Also look at Roar: they let players leave when they want to and that's worked out okay for them.

Whatever else is said the unveiling of Bolton as some kind of big signing is embarrassing. I hate bullshit marketing that treats us like idiots. I must say that right now today is the lowest ebb I have ever felt for the future of this club. I have never missed a home game and I have no plans to miss one in the future but they need to get their shit together. Do they realise this is war? That 9000 members this year is probably a bigger challenge than winning the league?

The point would be them helping us win the league... And it's easy enough to renew his contract at some point before he leaves.

Even though I'm an oldy that sits at the other end of the stadium, I love yarraside and all they do. But I don't get flares for one simple reason: the person that lights one is risking being banned for five years. How can someone who loves Heart risk that? This is huge. It's big for CCM too though. They lose and Roar are only 3 points behind them. What an end of season this is shaping up to be.

Of course I hope we've already booked a finals berth by then but I wont complain too much if we have to win the last game against Adelaide. Should make for a cracking road trip.

Oh and I thought Goodwin had some great runs. He had one run right in front of me that resulted in a corner kick that was sensational.
