I will wait and see whether new codes pop up and may go the 5 game route. $290 seems a bit much given that WU are charging $195 and we only have one victory derby this year. I think you are gilding the lily. Our forward line is so useless that they haven't kicked a single goal in the 19/20 Aleague season. Our fans are so fed up that not a single fan has attended one of our A-league games this season (no doubt they have defected to Western United) and our injury position has been so bad that not one of our top recruits or marquees has played a single A-league game. It's a disaster I tell you. He has to go.

Its nice and hot now. Time for a check in on how we are travelling with Mombaerts. It appears that he has been in the job for 3 months now and we have not won a single A-league game! That's appalling! At least under Wazza we won the occasional A-league game. Worse still we are level with Central Coast and Wellington on the bottom of the ladder. I mean really - Wellington? And our membership has dropped to below 6,000 members. Its a disaster. This would never be tolerated in the EPL. We need to turn this ship around before its too late. Mombaerts must go!

May I suggest an alternative but similar proposal. How about mandate that each senior team must play a minimum of say 4 youth players each game and match this with a raising of the salary cap somewhat. The cheaper youth players would help finance better quality marquees. This would facilitate youth development and bring bigger names into the sport in Australia. The greater emphasis on youth and Marquees would force mid range Australian players overseas where they would get greater experience. Stig

A new rumour has just surfaced namely that Arjen Robben will be coming to Melbourne City next season. I know this because I am starting the rumour. Seriously though it would make a big statement if we could get him here. Maybe JVS could have a quiet word in his ear for us? This of course is a totally unsubstantiated rumour possibly made up by someone unknown which is why I expect to see it published in tomorrow's Herald-Sun.

No this really happened. Something is screwed up at the club but then again we have known that for a while. I will ring them today. Fortunately it appears that my credit card has not been charged.

Last week I got an email to say that I had been auto-renewed for a full membership and thanking me for signing up. I rang the club and pointed out that during this year I had had a 5 game and a 3 game membership with no autorenewal. They apologised for the error and shortly later I received an email from the club apologising for the error and asking me to disregard the email. Today however the following arrived in the mail. The packing data is given on the other page as 9/5/2019. I don't know what they are smoking up at Kingsbury but could I have some please? And who is this Bruno guy? The Stig

I have heard a rumour that our new coach will be John Van 't Schip (the second coming). Of course John still has unfinished business with the club in terms of winning a premiership under his stewardship and he has coached at a high level in the Netherlands with Pec Zwolle. He also has family links with Australia. So if i get your explanation right CFC don't want bigger crowds because they would have to pay the Police and Security more? Doesn't make sense. If there is some contractual reason why it would be more expensive to open the eastern top stand then MCFC need to renegotiate their lease agreement and walk if necessary. If you were running an airline you wouldn't fly with half your seats empty, and the best seats at that. Has noone at MCFC any cost accounting experience? cheers TheStig
