I have no idea what any CEO is worth, but just because somebody is being paid by the Government versus a private company doesn't to me mean they should be paid substantially less. I'd prefer our smartest people to be working for the Government rather than constantly being poached by private companies to go up against them.

I appreciated his speech, but two observations I made -It seems to be out of character with what he has said previously about peoples rights to be bigots and 18C -None of the Libs stood up to applause him I dont really know much about him, but seemed to me he was speaking more from the heart rather than towing the party line and is more compassionate than I thought he was,

I was a cricket umpire for 1 season and hated it. I'd have trouble getting to sleep for days after games because of a decision I may have got wrong and thinking how Ive affected the result.
