i have been following football since i was seven or eight years old ( i am now 81) but for the life of me i cannot figure out what is happening to the offside rule. it is driving me insane when watching some of the offside decisions , my understanding of this rule is that if a player is in an offside position when the ball is passed either to him or forward to a position where he would be offside the assistant ref must raise his/her flag provided the said player attempts to play the ball. So why in heavens name are we seeing linesmen keep the flag down. we are informed by the controlling bodies that the flag is not raised "to see what happens" , what a load of Bulls**t , if the player is offside he is offside no questions need to be asked . What is happening is spoiling the game for everyone, so can someone clear up this load of twaddle please????

I watched the match and was disgusted with the kayo coverage including the ad break at the 33min and again in the second half at the 66min . This must be a new thing as there has been no ads during play for the rest of this season so i complained to kayo and got a reply " You can watch uninterupted play on Foxtel channel 507 " thats says it all for me i can see why Foxtel are in debt now, by pissing of their remaining customers, i replied to them that i was an ex customer of Foxtel and will never sign up to Foxtel again if this is the way they treat customers.

I must say he played very well for a man who has not played a match for nearly 8 months , he reads the play so well and never stops.

I think the big difference between us and Sydney is that they have beaten the sides lower than themselves whereas we have struggled to do that but at the same time we have done really well since Mombearts came as opposed to the crap under Joyce.

Latest news is that Fox are threatening the FFA with law suit if the FFA do not accept the so called offer from Fox to take a very large cut of payments for the tv rights .
Fox is 21 Billion in the red . If the FFA accepts the cut it would cost approx $88 million per year for the rest of the contract duration.

Actualy it won't matter to us here as my wife is now 80 and i will very soon be 81 and this year we have struggled a bit with the travel so we have decided not to renew. That's not to say that we won't be watching as we have Kayo here at home, we watched every away game this season but as i said the travel is getting hard for us so that's it for us. I will still be keeping in touch via this site for as long as i can. COYCB.!!

After reading all the comments on this subject i am very glad i did not sign up for another season , i would have been tearing what little hair i have from my head if every time i had to rebook after PAYING for a season ticket and the not being able to sit where i have sat for close to ten years. Besides which my wife has problems with stairs/steps so being told we cannot get our usual seats would have been the end for us.
