JVS - The coach from the land of chronic
toogood18 replied to Heart Fanatic's topic in Melbourne City
That video compilation was fantastic. I must admit if we needed too IMO he could still play in the A-League, doesn't look unfit at all. Also Miguel Nadal, Rafa's uncle, played for Barcelona and Spain and Mallorca for many years and was presented with a shirt by the club during the week. -
Week 16: Melbourne v Brisbane Roar - 21 Jan - 7:45pm

I reckon we will win 2-1 We should try to play the exact style we played when we beat them in December, defend and defend then counter attack, ala the Sydney game. My starting line-up would be Bolton Good Germano Hammil Thompson Shroj Marrone Behich Dugandzic Terra Worm I know WIlliams played a great game on Wednesday as his compared to his other efforts this season, but if he plays it will mean Dugandzic goes onto the left where he is totally ineffective and is pretty much isolated. Also Babalj should come on in the second half just as an impact player who can come off the bench and give us a presence up front. -
Good to see Redmayne signing, must probably mean that Bolton is going to retire, but I remember him at CCM and he seemed to be a steady and solid keeper.

I must say Good played one of his best games, pretty much locking down Ibini on Wednesday. So did Hammil as well, except for failing to mark Kwasnik. I must say cadete I 100% agree with you, I love both players, reckon they're absolute guns, but they shouldn't be paired together too often, we need an experienced defender

G'day guys I'm Ross Been a Heart fan from the start, largely due to the fact Victory are a bunch of tossers whose supporters are a bunch of bandwagon morons. Happy to be on the forums!

Good on them, great idea. Not the first time though I have heard of the Indian League, this article about Tolgay Ozbey, a fringe A-League player, for the Jets in 06 and 07 and goal scoring machine in the NSWPL is playing over there. http://au.fourfourtwo.com/news/196771,i-league-pioneer-ozbey-loving-india.aspx He is apparently scoring like he was in the NSWPL, so guessing it'd be the standard of probably bottom tier VPL clubs. Seriously though like the other boys said would be great to get some of those players into the A-League

Week 15 - Melbourne v Perth Glory - 15 Jan - 4:00PM

Look today I was very disappointed. My biggest problem is that we didn't do the things that had won us games throughout the season, thought Marrone was not used enough, too many long balls and the second biggest problem we didn't put enough balls into the penalty area. Also recently we have had this tendency to try to walk the ball into the back of the net, would love it if we actually increased our shots at goal, at least put pressure on the Glory. We now need to pick up the pieces and bring our A game against the Mariners. -
Totally agree great top!

Look Andy Maher is horrible Best: Simon Hill and I don't mind Jamie Harnwell (says it like it is), Mike Cockerill isn't too bad either Worst: Andy Maher, the others I don't mind -
South Melbourne Clarendon Corner is where it is at! Get around South boys this season. The Trifiro brothers will be dynamite

I'd love to get Birrighiti. From what I saw of him at Adelaide he was solid, so I reckon he could be a good successor to Bolton
-
Sack Williams, he eats more pies and drinks more beers in the stands than everyone as I sit in front of the players. Lazy, uncommitted and weak would be the best words to describe his season, never looks like getting into the games.

I think a defender we may sign as cover could be Steve O'Dor from South Melbourne if thats what sort of player we are looking at. He has played for Wellington in the past and was quite solid for them before coming back to Melbourne to focus on becoming a lawyer

How much of a gun is this bloke, 18 years old and holding his ground in the league. Discuss
