  1. I can just imagine Ramsay and Muscat punching on when we play the tards. He he
  2. I think he was playing "eye of the tiger" while he was training. = big chance to destroy the opposition this week.
  3. Can Bouzanis play mid field with Koren? This may be the master stroke seeing as Mooy is out.

  5. I am sure it was zullo that turned it over..mmm have to have another look at the replay. And who is defending Koran, his miss was pathetic as was Zullo's, both of them should have been on target. Just because I am an optimist about Koren's value to the mid field doesn't mean I don't see his short comings, at the end of the day I want to win the league and if Koren and Mooy can link up I think we can knock over the top teams, but without that I can't see us winning as the other players just aren't up to that level. We rely on Mooy to be a match winner every week which makes us predictable. We need another quality playmaking mid and atm Koren is the only fit. I want to see them play together for a full game then I will make my final judgement. I just hope it works because if it does we will be unstoppable.
  6. Just stating the facts, not blaming Zullo for anything.
  7. Nah when he fell over and turned the ball over and they scored the first goal, or maybe when he was 2 metres out from goal and missed the target. Cost us 2 goals. BTW of course he was a help when he came on, look at who he replaced, before that we were playing with 10 men.
  8. Yeah I know what you are saying we have had way too many 1 on 1 misses in the last 3 games, Zullo, Bruno, Harry and Koren, all weak efforts.
  9. As I have said before Mooy needs him so he doesn't get smashed by 4 defenders every match. With Koren's class he has to be marked.
  10. What, coming on at the 65 min mark when Mooy is nearly spent. When Koren came on Moody's game lifted in both those games as he wasn't the only playmaker on the pitch, and against the tard Koren fed Bruno for an easy goal to kill the game, but Bruno missed and so did Williams on the rebound. I have no problem with the games he played with Mooy as his presence nearly changed the game.
  11. welcome to the dark side Just a note on the whole Koren not being able to link up etc, in the last 3 games I have seen devastating link ups with Koren Bruno and Mooy. It relies on understanding and chemistry between the player, not something that happens by having a group of good players on the pitch. Saturday's team chemistry was poor, positioning was poor, understanding was poor, and Koren had no hope to use his class. I reserve my judgement to the end of the next match, and if he starts with Mooy this week and has no impact on the game then we may need to look at other players. But if he links up with Mooy the way I think he will then we have won the league, as no team will stop Bruno, Harry, Mooy, and Koren.
  12. How many times I saw him playing for the 1-2 and no one fed him instead passed back to our backs while he made space. You should watch the game again. Anyway, with a few more games under his belt either I will be wrong or I will be right. We will see. Koren and Mooy are a midfield MUST for the league title or else we wait till next year. I will stand by this until proven wrong.
  13. He is a playmaker or link up player and relies on vision/understanding or assumptions that players know where to be when he gets the ball. This takes game time and I saw a few of these moments that nearly lead to certain goals. But then again you can't rely on players like Koren be effective if the rest of the team is playing like headless chooks with no positional system. On the many occasions that he made bad and ineffective passes its because he was searching for initiative but could find it. With Mooy as the more dynamic mid and Koren linking up with him rather that our club relying on Mooy to do it all on his own, as he usually does, and with Harry and Bruno up forward, I can't see any defenses coping with this at all. As I have said before he hasn't had game time in the current squad but I still think he will open up many opportunities to our front players with a few more games. The real test will be the next match if he starts with Mooy when Mooy is fresh, then you will see how Koren and Mooy together with Bruno and Harry up front can bust a defence to pieces. If they can achieve this, we will win the league. There is no other combination in our club that has this potential. Our 433 just won't cut it against the better teams. I have faith.
  14. He needs to be a starter with Mooy this week, then I will make full judgement on his value.
  15. Blasphemy!!! Koren/Mooy and Bruno/Harry combinations are essential to us winning the league this season.
  16. Never, you will see! Koren needs some more games with Mooy. Harry needs to be CF, he is wasted wide.
  17. You can use a diamond centre which still gives the flexibility to go wide if needed, but it relies on a strong DM and CB to stop the central counter
  18. Totally agree, we need him side by side with Bruno
  19. Zullo just became our 11th player because poor Eyugin was non existent. He was no better than any other on the pitch.
  20. You mustn't have been watching the same game I was. You are hating on 3 players that have had 60 minutes of playing time in the last 6 matches combined. On top of that we were missing questionably 3 of our best 6 in-form players. And your comments about Zullo are very far from the truth, turnovers, slipping over, missing link ups. No better than any other player on the park, and he did directly cost us a goal. Sure Koren, and Hughes didn't set the house on fire but they made some very valuable contributions direct and indirect. This is to be expected for players that haven't played much. Zullo and Koren should have slotted those goals in and Harry had his chances. Miller is a young kid, he had awful moments but he had some good ones, he is still learning. We should have won the game, and our defenders really need to start linking up with our mids, when this happened in the last 15 minutes of the 1st half we really got some glimpses of our attacking potency through the centre with Bruno and Harry in CF ish positions. It was awesome to watch rather than the long balls down the lines that we usually play that opposition teams are now defending well against We should have won with a makeshift side that have never played together, and some old hands getting some game time which creates the flexibility that is needed to win this competition.
