  1. I genuinely believe this could happen Never in a billion years. Viera is too important to the youth development of City. He is worth far more to man city than he is to us. The even call the youth development team "Viera's team". Zero to No Chance.
  2. Too far If i squint my eyes i can almost make myself believe i am actually watching our boys wearing the sky blues of city.
  3. Mark Hughes was removed at almost this exact time 5 years ago. Maybe JVS can create a five year anniversary and join him in much the same way.
  4. ...................... Melbourne Victory I cannot believe i said it
  5. Which will probably too late for finals because if its just started now the club will probably let him lose/draw against Brisbane and then lose to MV before they finally sack him. When did City sack Hughes? I have a feeling City don't sack during the season. - But i hope it can start now.
  6. JVS should go - along with: JD - How has this guy agreed to sign some of the worst visa players and still kept his job is beyond belief. The football department is there for teh entire club - not to satisfy JVS. Wielaert - By far the worst defender in the league. Responsible for another goal yesterday. Get rid of him and put Archibald there. Even Muscat is doing a good job making Broxham a CB. Redmayne - Give Velaphi a go. Paartalu - Back to JD and his great 3 year signing of the slowest and weekest DM in the league. Germano - Is he stilla t the club? Kisnorbo - Too slow, and out of position so many times. eg Wielaert back pass, two goals yesterday Miller - Why do we have this reject?
  7. i like because you have melling starting your omitted pair is very interesting. Why would Garuccio get a start before Archibald? Archibald played better than Garucio did in the same position - in my opinion. but with JVS - his team selections are always impossible to guess and understand.
  8. Does the club get a refund on his wages - based on game lost thus far??? ok ok i know insurance covers his wages. But our luck on marques have been pathetic. Heart/City would have more luck at marquee night club
  9. Melling is going to be a star. Permanent marker him in - if i was JVS.
  10. The ins will be the ones omitted. I just hope Melling starts before Miller.
  11. I would love to know IN DETAIL what the true purpose of the meeting was. I would go as far as to say a break away from the FFA - as it should be and as done in many notable leagues.
  12. Maybe stop insulting or taking stabs at the moderators will be a good start! Lol Point taken! But what if they deserve it ?????? Just one PLEASE?????
  13. Hopefully this method works. Are you able to forward a link for the toddler city top? My daughter could wear it at indoor.

  15. I am not sure if this was posted elsewhere: Football Federation Australia chief executive David Gallop insists the FFA have no concerns at being left out of a meeting of A-League club bosses in Abu Dhabi on the weekend. Money and power were on the agenda as club owners gathered in the home of Melbourne City's new oil-rich owners. <span class="article-figure-source" "="" style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; outline: 0px; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; font-weight: inherit; font-stretch: inherit; line-height: 19.6px; vertical-align: baseline;">A-League bosses gather in Abu Dhabi Timed to coincide with the Abu Dhabi F1 grand prix, the invitation was ostensibly extended to show off the emirate to a new key set of stakeholders. The season-ending Formula One race is taken exceptionally seriously by Abu Dhabi officials as a landmark event. But a Fairfax Media report which revealed the meeting suggested a number of sensitive issues for the sport were in the owners' sights. Everything from visa regulations to the next TV broadcasting deal was on the table. It's understood not every A-League club attended the Middle Eastern summit. Former Sydney FC chief executive and prominent soccer commentator Andy Harper said the rebranded Melbourne City had a cheek to trying to play powerbroker so early in their A-League tenure. "All the A-League chairmen were invited to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix care of Melbourne City who are owned by the Abu Dhabi royal family," he told Melbourne radio station SEN. "What's been said is they were talking about various models of independence for the league. "There's this agitation that the club owners who invest their money don't have, in their opinion, sufficient say on commercial decisions and structures." Harper suggested City needed to earn their stripes before attempting to re-cast league structures. "Melbourne City, they've been in the joint two weeks, and apart from the team tanking, now they're sitting down and telling people what they want to do," he said. "Get your own house in order." The meeting is likely to have raised eyebrows at FFA. Key officials were left off the guest list, but Gallop suggested he would be happy to hear any concerns. "We meet regularly with the owners of the 10 clubs and we are always available to discuss any issues regarding the game," he said. "Football in Australia and the Hyundai A-League are experiencing tremendous growth at present but we need to remain vigilant about the financial stability of the game and the heavy investments made by the A-League club owners as we continue to grow the overall pie." City were taken over by City Football Group - owners of English Premier League club Manchester City and new US club New York City - in January, leading to their rebranding from Melbourne Heart. They currently sit sixth in the A-League after a 2-1 home defeat to Sydney FC on Saturday night.
  16. More on this player can be found on: http://www.footballdatabase.eu/football.joueurs.alessandro.venezia.198938.en.html Which then has a direct link to: http://www.footballdatabase.eu/football.club.melbourne-city..10758..en.html
  17. This came in my google Alerts for Melbourne City From Tribal Football I have no idea if its a mistake, but i have no idea who Venezia is. Chievo Verona are chasing Melbourne City midfielder Alessandro Venezia. The former Napoli and FC Cluj midfielder's form has attracted the attention of Chievo sports chief Luca Nember, who is already in contact with the player's camp. Chievo have tabled a deal to the end of this season, with the option for another two years to Venezia, says TMW. The midfielder's current City deal expires on December 31 and he so far has refused attempts from the Australian club to discuss new terms. Venezia is considering Chievo's proposal this week. http://www.tribalfootball.com/articles/chievo-table-contract-offer-melbourne-city-midfielder-alessandro-venezia-4050290#.VHOtVPmUfh4
  18. Mate im trying to private msg you but for some reason, i cant do it I tried to private message you too, but i don't seem to have the option. Apparently this is what i need to do-------but i cant find the "messenger" button. The personal messenger can be used to have private conversations with other members. To access it, select your username while logged in from the top corner of any page, and then press "Messenger". Starting a new conversation To start a new conversation, start by pressing the "Compose New" button. Enter the user's name into the "Recipient's Name" field. As you type, suggestions will appear below the box. When you see the member you are looking for, click on their name. You may also be able to add other recipients into the "Other Recipients" box. If so, the next option allows you to specify how the messages will be sent to alternate recipients: "Invitation" allows all invited members to participate in a single conversation, while "Copy" will send a separate conversation to each member. You should then type a message subject and the message body, just like you would for a new topic in the forums. When you are done, you can press Send Message or Save (Send Later) to save the message for later.
  19. True - but would you play him over Melling?
  20. Well im an old memebr this is severely pissed off they I can't buy little man Jaxon his Melbourne City home shirt for Christmas. Had enough of the club ignoring the fact that Melb City supporters may actually have kids or infants and not have kits available for them period. Decided to go it alone and get my little one a kit made from overseas. Seen the design and it will look mint. Definite business opportunity for someone who can sell shady merch pre game at the imp. Well thats the end product. Just waiting on it to be shipped. Now my 1 year old son will have a City kit as well. Where did you get it from? Any links?
  21. IMO it will end by CFG taking "direct control" of the Melbourne operation until they are satisfied that local management is good enough. Great point. I was surprised Munn and JD both kept their jobs following the change in ownerships. Although Munn seems an adequate CEO, generally new owners bring in their own CEO. I'm just spewing Josep Gombau said no to us - so we got stuck with JVS. Now Gombau looks set to leave to another Man City affiliated club.
  22. What is with this guy? Whenever a young player plays well - he drops them (or cuts them). Archibald, Melling, Garuccio, Walker, Vrankovic etc. I would rather loose with young guys - than with older has-beens like Wielaert, Kisnorbo, Ramsay, Miller Has JVS had any success as a head coach? Mulvey is free - and he could team up with Trani. Mulvey looks like a no nonsense coach, and has been successful with every a-league club pointed to. - made Gold Coast an exciting play well with only a hand full of players, - helped set the Victory W-league team up for strong success, - won a title with Roar in his first full season).
  23. Someone has to be held responsible for this rubbish signing. I too thought he was going to be a good player (but at the time questioned his attitude following his fall out at Road). This guy does not have it. At least he didn't cost us anything - bar a poor performance.
  24. Be quick guys - not many tickets left in City section.
  25. Anyone know if he is getting game time in the j-league. His clubs website is pathetic! The league website is worst. How many games has he played, goals this season etc??????
