  1. Let them fuck off lol, the drone pilots could always do with a bit more target practice
  2. Its going to cop a lot of flak and should be done subtly as first... but personally I think its a good idea because its recognising how a lot of gay PPL do follow AFL. In ten years time Gay Marriage will be most likely be legal in this country as it is increasingly becoming more and more of an apolitical issue - So a Gay Round in a Sporting League really is not going to look so out of place. Why bother though? I mean, it's not like the regular rounds are known as 'White Male Straight Bloke, fuck all you other weirdos round'. It's the classic thing of everyone is trying to be so accepting and careful not to offend minority groups, that it ends up discriminating even more than if they were able to just get on with it and be treated like they aren't anything special, vulnerable or rare. Because they're not. That's equality, everyone is equal. Except gays aren't equal are they. Until they are this argument doesn't make sense. Australia should feel ashamed that Alabama and the state where the "God hates fags" people are from got gay marriage before us. Lol, but they're human aren't they? Therefore they are equal to all the rest of us, and shouldn't have the spotlight placed on them due to personal circumstance. If the AFL was supporting Gay marriage rights, and named the round aptly so, then fair enough. But at the moment they have just selected one section of the community and marginalised them even further, by separating them from the rest of humanity. I'll accept pushing for a cause, but having a celebration just because someone 'is' makes no sense and causes more damage than it heals.

  4. I can see that by adding greater weight and mass to your hands, you can do more internal damage to the head. I'd think that it would be similar physics to that which makes wearing a bike helmet in a crash more likely to cause internal brain damage, due to the increase in mass upon impact. The weight and size of the gloves would cause more movement and rotation inside the head, which is likely to increase the chances of brain injury. Without gloves, the impact point becomes a lot sharper, which I reckon would be more dangerous in regards to internal organs during body shots. It would also naturally fuck up the face a hell of a lot more, with injuries to eyes, nose and mouth becoming much worse. I'd say that, with the addition of kicks and elbows, this is why you see much more bleeding in MMA than boxing, simply due to the smaller gloves giving a lot more focused damage to the face. I would be interested to see the comparison in regards to brain trauma between mma gloves and boxing gloves though. Personally, I reckon it would be like comparing getting shot by a gun to being shot by a cannon ball. Either way, you're going to be fucked up, it's just a difference in the kind of fucked up.
  5. I don't believe people have a right to illegally download, but I also think that the entertainment industry is being a whiny bitch about the whole thing. Relying on the government to censor the internet and punish individuals to protect your business model from having to change is a horrible way of conducting yourself. Instead, they should be looking at ways to change the way they deliver their product, and how to maintain profits, in response to the different market environment. The new streaming systems are a good step in the right direction, but obviously more needs to be done to tempt people away from bootleg copies. Porn is probably a good example. It can be found anywhere for free, but instead of trying to shut down or remove videos from the free websites, the companies have found other ways to make money out of the industry.
  6. It certainly makes for better viewing I'm curious to hear your argument though...
  7. Well FWIW I care, and I know a lot of other PPL who do as well... That doesn't surprise me though, considering your social and family background. I'm sure there is interest out there, but it seems highly imbalanced when compared to the amount of coverage being given. Put it this way, at my work I've been asked twice directly to comment on cage fighting in the past two weeks, yet genuinely have not heard one thing about the Bali 9. I would have placed the customers I deal with as the main demographic in regards to finding such a story interesting, yet haven't heard a peep.
  8. This has to be one of the most drawn out coaching deaths seen in football. Can see this cunt leading us through another winning streak, getting a new contract, and then bombing out immediately after. I'm not falling for his flukes any longer, fuck him off.

    CITY OHHHHHHH!

    Underrated post rofl.
  10. Fixing the culture will go a long way to sorting out issues on the pitch. The two go in hand, I agree. Improving culture and attitude will improve results, and improving results will improve culture and attitude. The problem is that neither of these things are happening, and I'd argue that CFG are at fault for both. I think CFG are at fault for not fixing it, but they are definitely not at fault for it existing. Our culture problem has been around a lot longer than CFG. What were you realistically expecting CFG to do in one transfer window? They inherited a huge amount of contracted duds. The squad was by far the worst in the league. I think they have done a decent job at starting to turn things around. I think people expected way too much too soon. They literally need to turn the whole squad over. I would say they are about 50% there so far. It was never a job that could be done in one season. It's not the players that are the cause of the shitty culture you numpty. They've all come and gone, but what is the one constant factor I wonder?

    Fed up

To quickly clear things up for anyone who are having similar thoughts to the ones quoted; Melburnians core know who the previous Y-Side leaders are, and have requested their advice and knowledge in the past. As far as I know, this relationship has not changed, and such advice is still available to the right people. However the chances of seeing any ex-leaders returning to the terrace are very slim. Many have now moved to focus their lives on other priorities, and are simply unable and uninterested in investing such an amount of time in a terrace once again. Naturally, I can't speak on behalf of the individuals, but it is misguided (as well as disrespectful to the current Melburnians core) to be expecting previous Y-Side leaders to return to leadership.
  12. Shit end to the article, what happened to the gun design? Also, what are you doing reading a commie rag?
  13. Got a nice set of titties this morning whilst coming here via google. Doesn't bother me, but I think it's just an imposter link that has been placed. When you click 'see other results' below the first result, the legit forum link appears.
  14. Has to have been out the front of the woolshed. Or maybe Strats?
  15. Does the average citizen here even care about these two dumb cunts? Or is this all just a massive media push? I can't say I've had too many conversations about the topic, whereas any other news that gets this much attention usually pops up daily in regular chitchat.
  16. Sorry for bumping this, but a strong rumour going around that he has joined Victory in a development coach position. Apparently there is going to be a presser this arvo, but I'd doubt it would gather much media attention.
  17. The Velaphi chant last week after we conceded was fairly obvious, heard loud and clear from the other side of the stadium. Obviously a derby is a bit harder to be heard in, but he would have been reeling last week.
  18. Couldn't agree more. We as MCFC supporters are better than that. Yes, he is shit but hoping he injures himself or making fun of his appearance is unacceptable. Why though? I think you're just saying what you feel is good, without actually giving thought to your mental process. If he gets injured, he won't be in the squad anymore. This is a immense positive for the club, and is a small sacrifice to make. Even then, if it's serious enough, maybe he'll give up on his football, and go study something with which he will actually have a future in. And as for commenting on his looks and general other misfortune, I'm sure that as an adult, Ramsay will be able to move on with his life from such horrible, terrible insults. 'We as MCFC supporters are better than that'.
  19. For shakily beating the bottom placed team? Hahahahaha Shakily? It never looked in doubt from the start. We dominated the asian champions for 90 minutes and should have won by 4 goals You're being funny yeah?
  20. I've pushed the antenna back in to the car, and returned to listening to albums front to back.
  21. The thing is, he isn't reading these backwaters of the internet, and if he is, then I'd argue he should probably get off the computer and go learn how to control a moving ball. Now, say if the fucking Herald Sun was saying shit like they want him traded with one of the Bali 9, I'd agree that it's probably out of order. A few sad blokes with an unhealthy amount of passion for a plastic franchise marketing ploy however is a different story. Get over yourself. I also don't believe that anyone should be worried about hurting the feelings of someone, especially if the subject is hopelessly incompetent at their profession.
  22. Agree, he's trying his best and we can't criticise him for that. The issue is the quality of his play, way below what is required in any position that he has played for us. I hope that he leaves and finds a level of football where he can enjoy his game, it'll be well below HAL though. I agree the aggressiveness is tad over the top. He frustrates the hell out of me as well. Better for for both ramsey and the club if he sits the year out and starts looking abroad. As much as we get angry at Ramsey the bigger picture is that JVS continuously plays him, knowing that Ramsey's best is far below what is required in the A league. Fuck off you PC pricks, it's a football forum, not a Human Rights convention. Get off your horse.
  23. Send him to Bali with a suitcase of gear ffs.
