Soriano CEO of CFG said it a while ago. CFG has realised that Australia was not a good investment. I therefore doubt that they are going to throw any significant money at the club at any level - coaching or marquee players.

This season so far pretty well confirms this.

I never knew that it's pretty disappointing then after we produced a few young players for them

  2. The a league is great most of the games are exciting to watch. But guess what it's Monday and nobody is talking about anything there's no narrative around the league so fans are disengaged and you only have hardcore fans in it

I look at it like this. In 13 years nothing like this has happened. From a personal perspective I've never had to encounter these morons. And for 13 years, bar this particular derby, I've had only good viewing experiences going as its an exciting fixture. So that's where I'm coming from. Maybe it's a case of everyone is wired differently which I acknowledge. And people may have had different experiences too. However, I do enjoy the extra tension between teams and supporter bases. Maybe some people just don't.

Yeah but some people might not have been to many games. For some it could of been the final straw. Active doesn't really connect with most Australians anyways because aussies hate the teams not really other fans. I'm going to derby and bringing some mates so hopefully it's a good game

Very ambivalent about going. Don't know what Princes Park is like now but I went to a match there many years ago - Euro team was playing - and the seating angle is very shallow (because of course it's Carlton's old ground in the VFL/AFL) and we could hardly see a thing what with advertising hoardings around the pitch and what-not. Walked out with 20 minutes to go in frustration.

Even if you want to tackle the transport issue from the suburbs I'd say it depends on what seats they are actually offering.

What a shame that this is the critical match for us. Pretty piss poor IMO that MOPT/AAMI Park and the AFC can't do better. The club is powerless in this situation.

Football in Victoria is going down the toilet
