I know things have already been said-what am i about to say, but i would like to voice my opinion on the matter. After all this has happened, i was happy that it was changed to Melbourne City due to the fact that i wanted the name from the start. I believe things have to grow on people. Going to the Newcastle game and seeing the white strips being worn kind of lost me. I still definitely feel City is connected to Heart BUT i feel as though we are in limbo in terms of identity, though the connection is there seeing people wear the Heart merch to the games. It has to grow on the fans and it will, whether you stay and support the club or not. PS- just quickly, believe that the active support/fans should have been named something to do with the name 'Heart' especially if you're going to keep chanting the 'Heart' on game day.

I could complain that the game may be in Ballarat but then again, I'm thankful there even is an FFA Cup...

When i heard the news this morning that there was a big signing to be announced...honestly thought it was the signing of Carl Valeri to Melbourne Victory, then maybe the signing of Damien Duff but to hear it was David Villa almost made me spit out my coffee. SInce i heard they were making a new Melbourne club, i always wanted it to be Melbourne City FC which obviously i am happy about. In terms of the colours i am not 100% about the home strip but in time like EVERYTHING, we will grow to embrace the home colours. Really like the fact that IN A WAY they have respected the history of Heart. They are brining us money and really i am a supporter hungry for success, hopefully this new club name/brand will last with many years to come.

Once again if it already hasn't been said...Frank Lampard was released by Chelsea this morning. (Sydney, Melbourne??)
