Good read! Good on you Bozza for swapping the potato and gravy for chips
-
My international membership has rolled over once again - being 9,000km away from Melbourne makes it easier to support this club at times
-
There's a swap meet in Windsor, Melbourne later today held at La Tienda - the venue might be hosting future swap meets too so if you're interested, get in touch with them. The details of today's meet is here: https://www.facebook.com/events/184613409041825/

Meet the Panini World Cup Stickerheads
-
Andrew Redmayne played in goal for Liverpool overnight as they went on to lose the Champions League final 3:1 against Real Madrid
-
Bump for the 2018 World Cup - how are people going with their collections? For those who don't want to pay, or those who want to check the stickers online - have a look at the digital sticker album here: https://paninistickeralbum.fifa.com/launch Good luck and post any swaps in this thread

I was comforted by the potential ACL playoff spot after the Jets loss but then remembered: - Victory will most likely pull an absolute rabbit out of their ass and edge us out like just about every other season. - If we do get the ACL playoff spot, we will somehow bottle it against the Myanmarese fourth place side who will seek political asylum in the away leg. I miss the ice wheelie-bin days

Welcome to your typical Victorian state league game...

To be honest, it's not too bad a move given that the top three teams at the end of the season make a European competition (1st: Champions League second round qualifying, 2nd & 3rd: Europa League first round qualifying). Domestically, he's signed for a former powerhouse who were regular league champions alongside Maccabi Tel Aviv and Hapoel Tel Aviv a decade ago, more recently though, the league has become more even with 'smaller clubs' taking the title. Yossi Benayoun (Israel's most capped player) is a club legend there and helped them qualify for the Champions League as well as win the title during the late 90's early 00's. Continentally, Maccabi Haifa have been in and out of the Champions League (and Europa League) over the past decade but struggled - they did have a famous win over Man Utd in 2002 though! All in all, time will tell if it's been a good move I guess...

A good read for anyone who remembers MHFC's Jeremy Walker and his trip to the U.K post Heart: http://www.theffacup.com.au/article/the-london-adventures-of-former-melbourne-heart-defender-jeremy-walker/iow3bhskp7px17dt55qm4qjfd

Zahra now playing for Heidelberg and will face his old side Perth Glory in the FFA Cup at Olympic Village. Magic of the cup etc...
-
The club shop has the following 48 hour sale: Just applied the code to the FFA Cup Frame and it came down to $160 (plus $10 postage) - looks like the cheapest way to get this item if anyone's interested
-
Does anyone know of a place that would be open today that sells & prints a-league names on jerseys in Melbourne? Also, has anyone heard if the club is still doing the trade in your old shirt for the 2015/16 +$30?

So the NYL title and W-League Premier's Plate don't mean anything? We are more than just a senior men's team!

Not sure about Malik... Pros: strong bodied defender who is experienced at domestic level (and is still just 25) Cons: horrific brain fades and at times, awful distribution Big gamble by CFG, could either be the missing piece in the puzzle or literally cost us a title going on prior form
