Perseverence. He'll come good around 35.

I always said his best position would be mascot marquee. I agree. In fact, we all agree. Hoff4Lyf.

Look at that rogue. Such charm, such wit. "I don't know if the missus will be too happy about this, but tennis. I was going for a walk in a Melbourne park and the birds that are around. It's a decent sport for a perve."

Don't worry, a Public Relations Officer is on it. This negative social media will be mitigated by synergistic branding techniques that are guaranteed to diminish any "laughing stock". -

No worries, Cadete. I'll give you a placard to hold up on the day. I wont be attendance... I will be watching Geelong. Ok. -

Because why should the City Group care about a bunch of Supporters campaigning against a Colour Change via Social Media and with Cardboard Signs if the vast majority of them are just going to stay on as Supporters anyway? Although I don't think we need to cover this again I will just state this. There is a campaign underway that encompasses all supporters and brings them together under Melbourne Heart's colours, red and white. This is an opportunity for all supporters to embrace what might just be our last chance to celebrate Melbourne Heart's colours, red and white. Even if nothing comes of this campaign at least we can look back on the last game of this rollercoaster of a season and say that we were all there because of Melbourne Heart and united under red and white. City Group mightn't care, you mightn't care, but there sure are a few people who do and we're going to do something. -
He was simply made fourth in line for captain this season (I think Gerhardt was third? I'm sure I saw him with the armband once?). I doubt they put much thought in to choosing fourth in line (or even third if that was the case). It is certainly fitting that Hoffman might become captain by default. In fact, it's a testament to he persevering average consistency.
-
Hoff's average consistency means that he maintains a level that is above "mediocre" and below "significant contribution".
-
It's not that hard to believe that in a squad you would have squad players, the great, average, middle-road consistency players, of which Hoffman is from. But I like the direction this thread is heading in. The seriousness we are treating Hoffman's re-signing can only escalate. Hoffman for Aussie Marquee at the end of his contract.
-
TBH, our season has been definitively over for all of two days. As much as I want the announcement of our international Marquee, our Australian Marquee, and for the long-term vision of the club to be unfurled in minute detail tomorrow, that is not going to happen. Of the movements that have already been confirmed, JVS and Williams re-signed, and now Hoffman and Tando, none are a real surprise or for that matter a concern. JVS is a solid coach who fits well with the Man-City Vision, and all three players are serviceable squad players. In the absence of any real information to the contrary all three can only really be seen as being retained as squad players. But let's not get too sidetracked. This thread is all about appreciating the eternal squad player, and all-round average footballer, the one and only and ours, Jason Hoffman.
-
His versatility is eternal!

He's a tease. But the way we have played the last two weeks suggests that a number of players have probably heard less than positive news. -
Profound. You do realise the past two pages was simply a group of guys just spinning shit to carry on a stupid conversation to distract ourselves from doing some actual work? Ah yes. But that doesn't mean we don't get to think about what we actually say. True - Perhaps we should have followed the precedent on discussing the Fairer Sex set in this thread by your Bay 16 comrade. http://mhfcsupporters.com/topic/429-sluts/ I don't you've deviated from the precedent set by that thread. Read back mate. I did not not make one Derogatory comment towards women. All I said was PPL should be mindful of dating their mates sisters and that sometimes appearing "Over Confident" can be appealing to women. Hardly comparable to starting a thread called "Sluts" and saying that only women above an 8/10 should be allowed in The Terrace. I'm sorry that you feel I have unfairly targeted you, Cadete. That was never my intention and I shall edit the comment to better reflect what I wanted it to say. I simply wished to point out that this thread, or rather this discussion, shows that the precedent set by the thread you linked has been kept truly alive and well by the discussion a "group of guys just spinning shit to carry on a stupid conversation to distract themselves from doing some actual work" are having right here.

Reality is that there is no game to be played. There isn't a competition, a measurement, a comparative study, that is going on here regarding meeting a girl. Nor are there any mind-bending, gene-defining forces that are able to be predicted or concocted to ease the "odds" in your favour. Reality is that only civility and communication will help you suddenly realise your talking to another human being who might just be the right person for you.

Been there. No issue unless you make it an issue. "Yes, females have a fear of rejection. It's embedded in their genes." You need to have Game™ to Play The Ladies™, gentlemen.
