Tesla
I post a photo of Castro & Cuba & get called a communist, why? You weren't called a communist, you were asked if you were a communist. This occured because you have posted imagery associated with the personality cult developed by Castro, a prominent communist "revolutionary". If you read what I posted about Cuba on the pages previously you'd understand why I posted it, you'd also see I also posted Hugo Chavez, nice one mate. End the embargo ffs, viva cuba. While I agree that Western relations with Cuba should be normalised, I wouldn't support a man who has forced the Cuban people into a life of poverty, lack of freedom, and technology which is reminiscent of the 90s. The country only survives due to Venezuelan donations.

I watch the French media quite closely and it seems that there may be a Potential rise of the New Left in Europe as a rejection of the social/economic current conditions perceived to have been created by the Neo-Libs and the New Right. Interesting. If it wasn't for Stauss Kahn raping all of the prostitutes of Europe, Hollandaise sauce wouldn't have even there in the first place. He is inexperienced, but we can only judge after time. Could be another classic socialist fuck up though, I wouldn't be surprised. It's interesting though, but in contrast with the rise of the left, yer hellas, France etc.. you've also got the rise of the right, you've had Sarkozy heavily promoting anti-immigration policy during the past campaign bordering exetreme right wing, you've also got these right wing groups sprouting up in Belgium ffs. Quoted from a mate of mine who recently met the EU Ambassador to straya or something along those lines, is addressing this right wing rise as a 20 year problem. Braveheart
BH who was that french politician that was escorted by 20 or so fucking skinheads? Umm if you mean this year(it's happened a couple of times lol), then it was Marine LePen. Daughter of far right former National Front leader Jean-Marie Le Pen. He's run for the presidency 5 times now(last time in 2007). Missed out narrowly to Chirac in 02 I believe(dont quote me on the year) and still wields huge power in the South of the country and amongst the Upper Middle Class(Hitler's people ). Jean-Marie LePen is famous for denying the Holocaust regularly a charge which is highly illegal in many European countries including France, ordering the use of torture as a Lieutenant during the Algerian war and was charged with arranging the bashing of a Socialist opponent for his European Parliament seat in 1997 or 98. Class A fucktard tbh. His whore of a daughter aint much better.
Tesla
Will be interesting to see how far socialist policies are taken. Lets see if he is a real 'socialist'. I hope so. If real socialist policies are implemented, France will collapse, and surely socialism can no longer be supported by anyone after that. Its been to long since a fairly big economy has had such policies, the people have forgotten. Oh and surely remaining in the EU doesnt make sense in a socialist context. Will they leave? Dont see that happening. Anyway, I doubt anything major will happen, just some policies which are slightly left of center and some BS ones like the 75% income tax on people earning over 1mil euros a year(its BS because so few people actually earn that much, its mainly just being implemented for a political show). Hollande was incredibly successful at targetting the 99% percent, the conditions couldn't have been any better for him. Strauss Kahn, Eurozone, I'M VOTING FOR ANYONE BUT SARKOZY etc... In regards to the tax rise, judging by what I have read recently, the majority of the rich will be moving to Brussels. The Influx of all these rich french speaking frogs is going to reshake the fragile bottle that is the Belgian political system rofl. Potentially in the two years, I forsee a Greece II (France) inherited by skinheads and Belgium divided. The latter being the most unlikely. PS: Valerie Trierweiler. There were no immediate indications of foul play, but the crash is likely to undergo intense scrutiny. The International Atomic Energy Agency said in a statement that another second inspector from Slovenia also was injured in the incident, and that the agency was in touch with the inspectors’ families and the Iranian authorities. The IAEA did not name the inspector killed in the crash, but Iran’s official IRNA news agency identified the Korean as Seo Ok-Seok. Allahdenijad works in mysterious ways. Completely agree Telsa, such videos do the ALP no good - That actually make a lot of ALP themselves cringe more than us outsiders (My brothers for one)... If Abbott is so unpopular as people claim, its going to be very humorous when such an unpopular guy is elected in one of the country's greatest ever landslides... marteaux
That video was made by GetUp Australia which is a ALP backed youth organisation whose sole purpose is to increase young people's interest in Politics and to pretty much slag off the Liberals at any chance they get. Braveheart
early election looks more and more likely each day. and what would you be basing this on? Only the incumbent party can call an election and the ALP, who will be soundly beaten regardless, would be crazy to call it early. They will wait until the absolute last possible opportunity in order to garner the possibility of the polls becoming slightly more favourable in time. In a sense, the feeling is that "It can't get much worse" poll wise, so why not hold off and hope for the best result. That being a minor thumping instead of a resounding bath. If the independents pull their support for the labour government? News over the weekend was they were distancing themselves from the Greens, so the government might not have the support of the Greens' MP for much longer.
