  1. So so many button ups.. Like limit reached. Consider this 'liked' Appreciate the thought
  2. The two clear ends of the spectrum obviously

    Paddy Go-Hard!

Needs the lyrics to be on those sheets I think. Also the fact that its never been stressed. It's been given a go, then faded out. Maybe if the capo teaches it? Then give it a real go
  4. Also with the sheets handed out with the lyrics, could put a simple message on it as well when handing out sheets in the GA area, something like, please don't hesitate to join in the standing or singing with the yarraside, the more the merrier. Emphasising people interested to sit in the front GA bay or the other active bay
  5. Agree with the mega, however the drum is mandatory, keeps everyone in time Sorry, I mean't why even bother with the one we have... Aha no worries
  6. To Archie thomson You're not Australian, and you're not Australian! x100
  7. Agree with the mega, however the drum is mandatory, keeps everyone in time, also used to start chants. Also when the drummer stopped playing for a rest during those last 10 minutes it took a little atmosphere away, so I think a drum, even if its not great is definitely necessary. Also, should some of the senior terrace members encourage the other active bay to stand when it is full, I think all they would need is a little encouragement as as we saw, everyone looked pretty keen to join in the singing
  8. Wasn't too bad IMO, quite good at getting people into it when they are slacking off, as well as delegating flags around the terrace and requesting them when appropriate was well some
  9. But it's just so damn exciting
  10. I've always watched victorys terrace at the derby and thought, man, those guys are loud. Today, I thought we out did them in a way. We got a whole general admin bay on their feet. And that is what passion is really about
  11. Not to mention the redmayne chant worked a treat, and the pages handed out with lyrics was fantastic, especially considering I brought along friends who were then able to read, join in and are keen to come again. Good work y-side
  12. Today, as the title suggests was a huge step forward for the club. Not only for the players, but for the fans. Firstly, we had a semi-reasonable turnout of 6200, but with that 6200 we made a LOT of noise. So much so, the entire home end joined in singing you are in my heart, majority even getting to their feet to join the y-side. Superb work by the capo drumming for that entire time, and superb work by the lads at the front pumping up the crowd that no doubt got our lads over the line. For the players, our first back to back wins in a long time, as well as the double over Brisbane at home, lifting us from bottom to finals position in a matter of weeks. The display read, more heart, and that's exactly what the lads did, besides a sending off and countless yellow cards from that "Mong with a whistle" only positives can be taken, if we continue like this, we will be unstoppable in the near future. Kudos to all
  13. Victory downing Wellington and drawing, here we go finals, here we go
  14. Just listened to the podcast for the first time. Very professional and well done. Props to you all behind the making of the podcast will be listening in every week from now on

    David Will-i-ams.

Bump Would be interested in doing this for willo as we don't have much atm
  16. Maybe I should bring along my saxophone for a surprise live instrumental version of the Garcia chant, just to ensure he signs a new contract
  17. Agree. We need all of yarraside to join in, when i last suggested this people laughed at me now, people are realising this is the only way to get through to the club. Better not, especially on the 6th, bringing friends to the active area for the first time and how well do you think this introduction to real football would go down? Especially seeming I do nothing except talk up the passion of the yarraside
  18. I also think, if you take a step back and look at the majority if matches we play, we dominate, so if we can capitalise on chances more often, not only do I believe we could make finals, but we could do well and make it past first and possibly second round Take the derby for example, we were all over them. Even the central coast game the first time we played them, only separated by a good free kick
  19. Agreed, I think rather then literally turn on our club we should make it more humorous.
  20. I understand that, but understand this, I'm sick of all the sack *** threads and wanted a thread where we could talk about what we love about the club currently and not why we're hating it atm. Please and thankyou But we have reasons for all those threads otherwise they wouldn't be there.. I think you're missing the point. I'm perfectly aware we have reason to complain. But I would like there to be somewhere else to read where we can talk about positives too
  21. I understand that, but understand this, I'm sick of all the sack *** threads and wanted a thread where we could talk about what we love about the club currently and not why we're hating it atm. Please and thankyou
  22. Can't get there unfortunately.. New Year's Day is a terrible fixture.. Will be back for Brisbane though.. 1-1 I'm predicting however
  23. Amongst all the negative banter, threads with sacking as their main topic, there needs to be a place of positiveness. A thread where one can turn to and know that only positives will be posted, a place where I can read people's views and not feel the need to jump ship because we lost a game, or lose faith in a player because they missed a shot we all think we could've scored. This my friends, is the MHFC positive appreciation thread. To kick things off I will list some positives of this season. - gerhart & tadic: two signings who were hurriedly signed to replace the gaping holes in forward and attack Left by babalj, good and Hamill respectively - 2-1 away derby win: no need to explain - Mebrahtu: finally someone who can take a set piece and isn't afraid to take on defenders and looks like they will stick around - 4-1 Brisbane: proving we can stand up to a championship winning side and play top quality football. - youngsters coming through: vrankovic, walker and mitchinson, all developing well, showing we can stick to our policy of giving youngsters a chance and sticking it to those who feel we don't stand for anything. We are the yarraside, one of the best terraces in the league. A team I am proud to support. Please, do the same
