  1. He has 11 goals now. 1 behind Eli. Mate is 3rd on the charts with 9. I'll update my spreadsheet and then update the thread i linked into. your spreadsheet ???? NERD !!!!!! hahahahahahaha On a side note, my brother and I use to play Test Match, that cricket table game. We use to keep stat books and make our own teams and colours etc. The awesome shit we could of done if we had spread sheets and photoshop etc back then !!! Unable to defend myself! I'll join in the nerd confession discussion and admit that I play full-seasons of various football leagues/competitions on FIFA playing as the home team in every game and keeping stats on multiple excel documents In fact, I'm currently in the process of playing the World Cup qualifiers, it's good fun and a good cure for boredom hahahaha awesome. My brother use to play rugby on a cassette on a commodore 64 and played a whole world cup and keep notes in a book Ha ha. Reminded me of the hours spent loading, I mean playing, "The Double". Maybe a bit off topic but did anyone else play this. I think I might still have the cassette in a box. Hahahaha. Not that one but something like it. Good times. The young blokes today wouldn't know what to make of this now days. Some of them are wouldn't even know what a cassette tape is. Hehehehehe
  2. care to elaborate? Been told he's basically ours next season. I have just gone semi hard.
  3. Would love Mooy in our team. Good young talent.

What made it worse was that it was a demo and I could only play one game at a time. After playing and rewinding so much the tape wore out. Then I did it with an old soccer game.
  5. Who cares what the media thinks. Why not have some fun with logo's, shirts etc. It's just some fun. And if it gets people involved in the forum and the club it can only be a good thing.
  6. I think one good thing about the city group is that they will get a good coach in weather that is JVS or someone else. If the coach is not doing a good enough job we aren't going to have to wait like with did with JA. I think these blokes will do what needs to be done and won't be afraid of getting their hands dirty.
  7. Basheer is on SBS I think. He does the SBS games on friday with whoever from fox. Andy Harper is the one on fox. But Harper, Slater and the rest are all shit.
  8. There was a head clash a few minutes earlier not sure who the bling player was. On TV he looked like he may get a black eye there looked like some bruising was coming up around there.
  9. Don't worry Natalie their is a lot of selective reading on this forum. I got what you were saying it was quite clear to me.
  10. I still don't get this identity thing. What identity does any club have. Most are pretty much all the same. We all want to play good football and win games. Gee I can't stand the football pundits in this country they really give me the shit's.
  11. No matter what happens I am looking forward to the off season and the new season.
  12. It would be nice to have new faces with a new game plan. In with new and out with the old.
  13. to expand, Sydney are a shit team that somehow has won a couple of Championships. It has chronic off-field instability, multiple ownership changes and coach changes, always with the disappointment that follows 'we are a big club and deserve to be successful'. Think of it like Chelsea without any of the positive things. ADP is playing for them and this has been good and bad: he's still a class player but the team revolves around him and he does very little defensive work these days. Last time we played at AAMI Park in the dark Aloisi era, this was maybe our darkest day when we were so unmotivated and disorganised that it made a team as obviously shit as Sydney look like Bayern Munchen. This game also featured the #AloisiOut banner that we were also featuring in our fan tweets, as well as 'Aloisi Out' chants and 'Let's pretend to score a goal' chants. It was a turning point of sorts as it was clear to everyone apart from Aloisi that nobody #believed that he could turn things around. We have unfinished business, Sydney need a good spanking from us. Just to add looks like Behich will be playing hopefully will have a good game this week and show why he was one of best players. as for Mifspud I don't think we actually a real out and out striker. We have people that can play there but know one that can really say they are a quality finisher.
  14. Gol Gol for me is Heart. Has potential but never really got there either from not being good enough or having the right people around to invest the time to release that potential.
  15. While I want every team to do well and the A League to grow I want to smash every we team we play from A League to the Spring Gully under 10s. Every game is a big game if we are playing for points, trophies or even a friendly I want our team to win.
  16. Don't care about colours etc. I just want to watch some good football. Everybody follows this club for different reasons. For me I don't get hung up on names, colours etc. I just wanted to watch the A League and thought I would get behind this club as it was new. I will still support this club no matter what happens because I just want to watch football and I want the A League and football in the country to grow and get better. I suppose being out of town a having to travel a couple of hours each way I don't really care about Melbourne. Don't get me wrong it's alright but I hate big cities. It's the fans that make the club for me seeing familiar faces giving high fives and hugs to people that I don't really know except that you know there face from previous games and that you are all following the same team. This is the club for me. Names, colours, players could all change but if I see the people that I have seen game after game everything is going to be alright even if I don't know all there names. The high from jumping up and down after a goal and win or witnessing all that make this game great is what I'm there to see. Hopefully these times are going to be more numerous now. As I said everybody goes for different reasons. This is mine you can take it or leave it I'm not fussed either way. All I know is that whatever happens I will be there next season hopefully watching some good football and some future stars of Australian football and hugging people I do or don't know. Peace out my brother's and sisters.
  17. Thats the question though isn't it? Here's The Age's Micheal Lynch PV: "The other point to consider is how Victorian supporters of other EPL teams would react if Heart was to switch to sky blue? When Carlton Soccer Club was established in the NSL it drew small crowds, despite its on-field success, as many AFL fans wouldn't barrack for a team linked to the navy blues. Read more: http://www.smh.com.au/sport/soccer/red-white-and-blue-20140128-31l21.html#ixzz2rkCATIRG" Yeah I think you are right Kiro (and for reference I enjoy reading your opinions in these forums). However I believe that our identity is more so based in our membership and attitude towards football than our colours (which is closely aligned to MCFC although we have never fulfilled it). Don't get me wrong I'd prefer we kept the red and white (I'll be attending in the old school colours either way) but the toss up between not changing colours or having half assed owners who don't give a fuck or changing colours and meeting the original mandate of the club and the reason I've followed since day dot is a pretty straight forward decision for mine. End of the day I'd like to have my cake and eat it too. But I'd be satisfied with a team that played good entertaining football, promotes youth and improves the state of the game in Victoria and Australia. LIKE. I just want to see good football at the end of the day and know that the club wants to be the best it can be.
  18. We need to get a player with a massive afro.
  19. Wouldn't seeing the Hoff given a go up front and Walker a go at RB. Hoff can't be any worse than our Malta Mosquito Dung beetle.
  20. Melbourne City Football Club with as someone pointed out not sure who but they suggested latin underneath with Heart of the City or something along those lines. Good idea I reckon from who ever it was.
