  1. Buy your kids membership and they can have their own badges and a flag !!!!!!
  2. only if he played like last night - otherwise I think he would be a bit slow
  3. You think it will be the goalkeepers shirt?
  4. Give us the chance to beat the tards 4 times a year
  5. maybe this number is in the tens??? so we now have 6400 members - would be nice and would explain why it updates slowly
  6. Will you sign up if kewell signs? Yes Sorry but - PISS WEAK. Support your team and not a player. Even if we finish last for 5 years running - I'll be extremely disapointed and would be calling for the board to step down but I'll still be buying my membership regardless.
  7. Counter still hasn't updated - stuck on 370 needs to add at least +4
  8. Opps, Should have made it clear about the world record . 600 mts is small compaired to 8km
  9. One massive flag (World record) Edit: embedded
  10. this club i swear.. So after a year we'll be running a 1 0 0 formation with Redders in goal and nobody else Not to worry, we''ll be promoting youth and getting players from o'seas that can't play
  11. The reason I joined the Heart: Was not interested in the HAL when it started as i felt the quality of football was no better then the pub leauges back in England (and the NSL was to ethinic based). When I founld out that a 2nd team was earmarked for Melbourne this piqued my interest as I thought maybe I would join a club from the start. The other reason was to have a father/son outting on a regular basis as he was 6 years old and going back to my English roots, wanted him to feel the passion of belonging to a club and feeling the passion of being a supporter (when he has taken to like a duck to water). What i'd like to see from the club for a start, is the following: Encrouging family support Encrouging the Active support (by letting people who ever wants to stand there to be able to do so) The youth teams to extend down to under 9's ( looking to the future and hopefully my son ) To continue to listen to the supporters Reward tenure of the fans (could be a piece of merc that is specifically tailored to the year you joined) What I am hearing in this topic is sounding very promising, but as they say the proof is in the pudding and I am looking forward to some cake next year ( not that we can't get some this year but I feel we don't deserve any)
  12. Personnaly - I like the idea of a family first mentality (and this is what I see in the crowds), and this allows all ages to enjoy the game in an enviroment that is freindly and welcomming (just like the Y-side)(Tiker is a big plus in this regard) . Fuck off the flares - (unless some one can explain to me the point in this, maybe due to all the celebrating you are in distress and need attention and want to be taken to safety ( back of the police van)). I think the club is growing (maybe not as fast as people would like) , but concidering we are in an AFL state and the biggest supporter base for an A-Leauge team against us I think we are doing well. We need to cater for all walks of life and need to appeal to all comunities and races (I remember one home game with a bunch of japenese?? all in yellow on the right side of the YS. - why didn't they come back ???) Anyway thats my 2 cents worth and excuse my spelling. Edit: Would like to thank the members that take their time and effort to attend these meeting and write(email) the club with the view of improvment - Thanks
  13. 2 how games in a row - might be able to string 2 results adn go on a (sausage) roll
  14. Congrats to Michael, a bit surprised as hasn't had the best season. - Time for JW to make the spot his.
  15. Thompson and fred have to go - colosimo has stepped up this year (latter half and most likely thanks to PG) Agreed cannnot get rid of all out experience but we need a midfield and RG, PG and SC shold be enough.
  16. See the YS boys and get a real scarf
  17. Agreed Luke - on field is where it counts. But good to see the club is taking notice of the fans ( and in return hopfully get more fan through the turnstiles.)
  18. Pub is for sale and $10 meals - good OLD google maps
  19. Opps, Didn't check the match day forum. -- Should I delete Post?

  21. Yes a bit early but the newletter has prompted this: Own the experience’ match Our next home game against Adelaide United on Friday 18 January will see members own the experience of our Match Day on a number of fronts. Fans will be able to play a significant part in the evening’s entertainment and get to the heart of the Club’s activities, engaging with their fellow supporters as we look to continue our good form in the team's last Friday night match under lights at home. Club Song Our supporter groups have initiated a club song which we would like to trial run for this match. ‘So happy together’ by the Turtles will be played after the players walk out on to the pitch just before kick-off. Played over the loud speaker and with the lyrics being relayed on the big screen, we want the whole stadium to sing the song as one, from every side of the stadium. This is a great opportunity for all fans to get involved and rev the players up from the sidelines. Once we’ve trialled the song, we’ll take feedback from the members post-match and see whether they want to continue with the concept. A full list of lyrics is available here to get yourself prepared in the meantime! Blogger Outreach Day We’re rewarding Melbourne Heart Foundation members of the club with the chance to report on the full match-day experience from behind the scenes on a typical game day. We’re inviting five foundation members to immerse themselves in club activity from start to finish and blog on the experience. They will get a tour of the stadium, the chance to interview certain staff, sit on the sideline and report on the game, as well as getting amazing access to the post-match press conference. If interested, please email membership@melbourneheartfc.com.au stating in 50 words or less why you should be rewarded with the chance to blog on the experience. We will announce the winners at the beginning of next week. Five a side on the famous AAMI Park We will also be hosting a member’s 5-a-side match at half time in front of the Yarraside end, allowing members to showcase their skills. Entries to this once in a lifetime experience will be put in to a hat and winners drawn out and announced on match day. Again, email us at membership@melbourneheartfc.com.au to put your hat in the ring! Fans Man of the match Fans will be able to select their man of the match from the Adelaide game by taking part in a Facebook poll at the end of the match. Perceived top players will be selected and the fans choice will be announced by a member on the ground at the end of the match. Sounds like the club is listening!
