  1. Call it what you want. I'm just glad they're on our side.
  2. 2 game winning streak! The title is ours.
  3. Damn, I have apparently destroyed this man. Look at him, combing the internet, going from NYC forum to forum, looking for silly posts to post here. A forum where no wants him either. Sad....just sad.
  4. Mods, please send the bitter Manchester troll packing. I believe the Manchester thread is that way ->
  5. Do you guys have a salary cap? You must right? You have marquee players. How does your cap work?
  6. You guys will get it soon. Aside from China, there's no one else really more qualified to host it in Asia than Australia right now and the Chinese probably won't be interested until they can field a highly competitive team. That's the ugly ol' Commie mindset still at work there. If they host the World Cup it must be a show of Chinese strength like the Olympics in Beijing was. A team getting humiliated in the first or second round will not suffice. So it might be a while before they're interested in hosting.
  7. people should read the article on "The World Game" about Sepp might have been misleading as he never said he was resigning just stepping aside until after all the investigations are finished or words to that effect so we will have to wait and see what transpires. Haha, I watched the announcement, it was bizarre, having such a big announcement in such an empty room but besides that I can't recall his exact wording about his departure. He'd be a real asshole if he were to pull some sort of trick and come back if he isn't convicted of anything. Though if he is calling in an emergency vote, I'd be shocked if there's some way for him to essentially revoke that vote later and restore himself.
  8. Runs in the family I guess...
  9. Why don't you refer to me as "she" here like you do on Blue-Moon? I'd say playground-grade insults from grown men is even more embarrassing than some half-assed webpage with 6 posts on it from some kid. In fact, bringing that thing up at all smacks of desperation. Almost as desperate as stealing a 37 year old player from a new club to try and save your title hopes and then winning nothing. What will you "lot" be referring to me next as I wonder? Poopy-head? The world waits with bated breath.
  10. Sepp Blatter to resign from FIFA. Mission Accomplished.
  11. CFG are probably learning the hard way that playing "beautiful football" works most of the time when nearly everyone else does so too, as in the top leagues, but doesn't work so well against the fast and direct counter-attacking style usually played in lower leagues. Pretty much this. We keep possession of the ball about as well as we keep possession of our star players. We're pretty shit at defending set pieces, too. Don't mind, Kas. He's a Manc struggling to come to terms with what his club has done. Kas, why don't you take yours and every other Mancs' advice and just get over it?
  12. Blatter: " I can forgive but I won't forget." Seriously doubt we get the 2026 WC now. We might as well pull out of FIFA. We just landed on the same shit list England's on.
  13. 10 game winless streak and we have our shittiest line-up going into a tough game with Houston. It ain't looking good.
  14. Montreal had a 1-0 lead into the second half but blew it and lost 3-1.
  15. Report: Ronaldo prefers to play for MLS club in Los Angeles in 2018
  16. Montreal almost won. Incredible performance. 1-1 draw, heading back to Montreal next week.
  17. 100K+ sellout waiting for Montreal in Mexico City tomorrow night. They're gunna get wrecked.
  18. Probably. We just can't field a consistent starting 11. Constantly guys out with injuries, international games, whatever. We'll get it going though, I'm sure.
  19. Just finished watching the first episode of Daredevil on Netflix. Absolutely blown away. Its not just a good superhero show, its just incredible the whole way round. Honestly, the production values rival most superhero movies and the casting is perfect. The fight scenes are very well done and not gratuitous at all. And that opening intro is just...jaw dropping: Netflix execs were probably dancing in their offices after seeing the finished product. What a hit.
  20. Game was pretty epic. It'll be so MLS if Montreal wins it all. The worst team in the league the last couple of years winning the first CCL trophy in league history. That's how the WSW were last year right? I think Impact has a better side this season than last. Still not enough for a championship team but done well to get to the CONCACAF final and might snatch it. Bush in goals is a bit suspect. I think a keeper for any top league side should have saved the last two let in against Alajualense. But you can only win the battle with the troops you have. Hopefully the final will go to Montreal. Did you see how Club America got into the Final? Don't think Montreal has any chance.
  21. Not likely anytime soon unless Red Bull sell and Cosmos buy in but that doesn't seem likely. Cosmos ownership talked with MLS and didn't like what MLS offers. Cosmos and NASL are determined to unseat MLS as the top league in the country. I don't think it will happen but its going to be pretty entertaining if they can keep the league together over the next few years. They need to expand, they're non-existent on the West coast. If they can get the league coast-to-coast, they might really be able to turn the heat up on MLS. http://www.capitalnewyork.com/article/media/2015/04/8565429/war-american-soccer-leagues-has-begun I'm actually hoping NASL succeeds in becoming an established league that's every bit the equal of MLS. There' s legitimate dislike between the two leagues and their fans. It'd make the US Open cup truly unique in world soccer.

  23. MLS welcomes Minnesota United in to the fold today. "The Loons" as they call themselves. 23 teams (24 with Miami) and rising....
  24. Rams and/or Raiders. Possibly the Chargers but I doubt it.Rams? Relocating? Possibly. The Chargers and Raiders made a counter stadium prproposal but its nowhere near as far along as Kroenke's.
