  1. Phoned up just after 7:30pm and on recycling hold music until 8:00pm ticked over and then announced the line was closed. Thanks City.

Guess that means the drive has been working, but I missed out. Reckon I deserved a half price season after watching us since inception and surviving Aloisi and Joyce

And don’t need one. Why block the path of Najjar, Wales, Najjarine and Iannucci? They’ve all got talent, they just need opportunities.

Don't get me wrong, first priority is young guys running at tired defenders.

But there are always those games where it is windy or wet, or the big centrebacks are carving chunks out of calves while the ref left his cards in the changeroom and you're chasing a goal.

That's when I want to turn to the bench to the tough old forward with less pace left in him but a tonne of guile.

  3. Foundation member here, even followed the club to away days in each place. Also attended matches in locations like Shep, Moe.

CFG and Wozza finally lost me mid season and I cancelled auto renew membership. Too much over too many years and by the end I was only there for the mates and beers. Win or lose I had no emotion either way and that is a completely odd hollow feeling. That is not football.

Will always keep an eye on results and might flick on the broadcast every now and again next season.

EXACTLY.  The Capo is a self-indulgence for a group of mates.  I never saw a capo until I came to Australia.  I defy anyone to tell me there is no home-ground fan atmosphere at the ''active'' ends in the English Premier League/Championshp etc. I have had some mighty days and nights in the Trent End at the City Ground.  And elsewhere. Nobody telling me what to do, when to sit down, what to yell.   That model does not work.  It's for kids.

You ever start a round of "You've lost that loving feeling" and I'll double the volume and nudge the lads around me in

Still the best chant (and underexposed) I've ever heard at any football ground.

  5. Of course we have an identity, and it is a beautiful one. We are the club of farce.

If Douglas Adams wrote a book about a football club, if the Office was set in Bundoora instead of Stanford. If Monty Python had of chosen a different cup as the Holy Grail - that is us.

I for one now embrace the farce, and will continue to support, if only mainly now for the blokes at the pubs and in the stands who have shared so many lows and SFA highs.

  6. I reckon any protest - banners, chants, clothing - that targets CFG (and not just Joyce) would most definitely get their attention. Probably likely to be reported in Manchester too.

I'm pretty sure that the Sheik and Co are used to being viewed by the club supporters as benevolent saviours rather than football parasites.

  7. In my opinion as many people as possible wearing red on Sunday and ditching the City Blue (registered colour trademark, all rights reserved) is the quickest and simplest way to get the word out around social media platforms be it for active area and everywhere else.

The additional stuff about the 23m mark can follow on.

Going to be a riot. Everyone needs to turn up, songs about Bruno. Something big in the 23rd minute, like the chant above, complete walk out, but something the TV coverage can't miss. We must make sure that the TV commentary is left in no doubt how the fans feel, and that there is a real meltdown brewing about this. Bruno, whatever we feel about his form right now, is the icon we fight over. Enough already.

"We're going to Team 11" might make the point.

I honestly think that the only thing capable of decent sports media attention is targetting City Group ownership of our club as a focal point of protest.
