  1. Packs are pink? Here they are blue and in some countries they are white!
  2. Here in Belgium it's extremely popular. My album is album full (609 stickers/640).
  3. Sorry, I bought them from an English guy who had put an ad on the english subbuteo forum: http://www.subbuteoplayersforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=12613
  4. I'm from Belgium :-) (you know me, I'm the WASPA organizer) By the way, I'm thinking of ordering a few iBASE Storm Bases & Disks. Can anyone tell me how good they are compared to Subbuteo and PTF Sureshots or professional bases such as RealSoccer, Astrobase, Tchaaa ? Thanks a lot!
  5. Nice teams. I just bought 10 sets of PTF sureshots and white figure. Just have to start painting now
  6. I thought it was because the WASPA organizer is from Belgium. Only joking...
  7. Good to see more new players in the area. Remember the WASPA circuit is very open for anyone wanting to organize tournaments, even with 3 players only :-)

  9. Awesome job! Please make sure it's only for you. Once you want to sell items with the Subbuteo logo, you must be careful about the copyrights!
  10. The Belgian team is great but I remember in the 80's they made the Belgium 84 kits (a red kit and a white kit), which were much better than the 86 one. The Subbuteo Legenda are good for collectors and I think they shouldn't be used to play because they are quite fragile. If you want to invest money on teams to use in tournaments, either buy some professioal stuff or play with either ZEUGO teams (the onews with the flat bases) or the new Subbuteo made by Paul Lamond (those distributed in Australia by Crown & Andrews).
  11. Well done to everyone involed. Those who want to receive the WASPA ranking (when ready) can drop me a line at vincent.cop@rsca.com :-) Ranking are published once a month!
  12. Well done, if you want the event to count for the WASPA ranking, please let me know in advance so that I can announce it on the WASPA blog
  13. Young Polak, you need to iron the pitch (not the printed side)
  14. Some more news here http://subbuteo-australia.blogspot.com/
  15. Love the pitch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Looks perfect to have great games!
  16. link? You can e-mail Frédéric Vanton at vantonfc@base.be Cheers!
  17. By the way, the laest tournament in Penrith (near Sydney) had 3 players. here is the final table. 1. Mike Newton (who used to live in England and I met him a couple of times years ago) 2. Brett Davis 3. Anthony Ilacqua
  18. For beginners I recommend ZEUGO bases or the new subbuteo teams (some of them are available from the Australian distributor Crown & Andrews). I know a guy in Belgium who has a huge stock of Zeugo teams and they are for sale at the incredible price of 5 EUROS. It's worth a try to buy some but you need to buy more than one set otherwise the transport will cost much. Cheers from Belgium.
  19. That picture is history. That was the 1994 world cup held in Chicago and many of the top players of the time are on the picture: Darren Clark of England, Vasco Guimaraes of Portugal, Horst Deimel of Austria, Wayne Smith of the US, Christophe Fuseau of France (finalist of the tournament), Dominique DeMarco of belgium (winner). Just glory days! Believe it or not but Carl Young (on this picture, the guy with the WALES jersey), one of the top players from the 80's and 90's in the world, now livs in MELBOURNE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't you believe me? Check this Facebook group: http://www.facebook....069377/?fref=ts 21 players - 21 nations. I got them all now. Diego Venegas (ESP) Yusni Bin Amir Den Mulia (SGP) Martin Taylor (IRL) Jon Schulz (USA) Pablo Goldberg (ARG) Dominique De Marco (BEL) Davide Massino (ITA) Leslie Bonello (MLT) Patrick de Jong (NED) Derek Sansone (SCO) Christophe Fuseau (FRA) Andreas Christensen (GER) Darren Clark (ENG) Trevor Cummings (NIR) Camilo A. Giedelmann (COL) Carl Young (WAL) Aggelos Tsakiris (GRE) Vasco Guimaraes (POR) Peter Fursund (DEN) Horst Deimel (AUT) Scott Aldridge (CAN)
  20. Don't need to be confident. You will learn more by playing other players than just playing on your own. I'm sure it's also a good way to make new friends sharing the same hobby.
  21. http://www.facebook.com/QueenslandSubbuteoClub -> the first club in Queensland just opened their Facebook page!
  22. @True Until I die: SUPERB work! Well done! You just need opponents to have great games now!
