  1. Imagine Bolton made that mistake. I am all for youth but this forum is moronic when it comes to overrating our kids and shitting on our experienced players.

Absolutely woeful from when Fred went off. Inexperience killed us.

If you think Bolton not playing had anything to do with why we lost today then you son are clueless.

Where did I say that? I am saying the double standards when it comes to mistakes. If Bolton made that mistake he would be could a retarded old cunt and the like.

  2. According to the squad announcement 10th January 2013 he has groin problem.

I think they are just saying different parts of his body for fun.

Unless the groin is the last remaining issue.

JD thinks he is two weeks away from full training, which one would assume would see him get a bench spot.

2 weeks from training means at least 4 weeks away from playing and that's absolutely best case scenario.

  3. They probably paid a fair bit for him, going by the fees they have paid for worse players over there.

Hope he enjoys playing matches where the result is already determined

Yep, love seeing the fees they have paid for us.

Even though they are pre-determined they are probably less predictable then our games...

Home games= go up 2-0 then do nothing

    Away games= do nothing

  4. Congrats to Michael.

    Apparently going to Shanghai Shenhua.

    Their 3 other imports are:

    - Drogba

    - Ankela

    - Moreno who is a 26 year old attacking mid with 15 caps for Colombia. It is reported that SS paid a $9m transfer fee for him.

    Michael's in fine company!

  5. Wow, the intellectualism and depth of this thread's discussion makes me think Richard Dawkins and the Dalai Lama are Heart fans who post on this forum under discrete alises.

  6. I don't agree with the Santa hat sanction but I also don't see it as double standards. Undershirts are allowed, extra atricles of clothing are not. Fred would have received a sanction if he pulled on a 'I belong to Jesus' hat.

  7. Had a look at the effect of winning home/Melbourne games on the next game's attendance. I didn't include the derby attendances as obviously they skew figures but included Etihad win as there were more Heart fans there than all other games bar our home derby.

In our 3 home games coming off a Melbourne win we average 7842

In our 4 home games coming off a home draw or loss we average 5492

That's a 43% increase in attendances in games coming off a Melbourne win.

  8. Saw Edwards in the youth team today and anyone expecting him to come in and make an immediate impact is mistaken I think. Looks unfit and offered nothing today. Pretty much didn't move from the centre circle. Can see that he is technically good but needs to improve physically..

Kalmar offered much more next to him if you are going to compare midfielders.

Those were the doubts on Edwards before signing. Technically strong but poor physically. Most on here are pro youth, I am too but it can be easy to ignore the weaknesses of those you want to come in and ignore the strengths of more established players.

  9. On Golgol- definitely think he should be rotated. He has his OP issues and also type who is suited to coming off bench.

Cannot agree more. He's been in great form lately but can offer more coming on fresh once opponents legs start to get heavy. We saw it in the latest derby.

He skins blokes with his first touch every second game, we need all the help we can get - If he is fit then start the bloke..

I definitely agree with you there. Just saying his style suits coming off the bench and reality is, he will need breaks at times. Hopefully going back to once a week games means he is right to start pretty much every week.

Yep. We/Aloisi really struggle with the limited A-League. It's a hobby horse of mine but we really don't pick the right guys. Here are some bench regulars...

D-Mac: should only ever come on for Tadic unless we can our formation

Hoffman: look I am not anti him but his major strength is his energy and ability to run out a game. It's like having a marathon runner in a sprint.

Vrankovic: has been a sub for last couple of games but has been for most of the season. He is a CB. We have a few guys who can fill in at CB.
