Apologies lads, unfortunately most of us are rarely on the forum these days so we forget to post them up here. Will try to do it more often!
No internet in Croydon?
😄👍 keep up the great work lads.

You bastards crack me up!
Who would have thought a podcast about a batshit boring club could be so funny!
ps Croydon is definitely not on the moon and the sledging was very much deserved.
Quality banter re Croydon.

I don't think he's had a single minute so far.
Do we really have to have a dead shit like Kalac as a GK coach?
Looks like he has been playing in Insta? But I am not 100% maybe reserves?

Bouzanis won't be back if Kalac is still the keeper coach
I get the disharmony but what about contractually? Maybe he has done enough in Europe to warrant a permanent move?

just wait till Bouzanis gets back next season and Galekovic retires...will be interesting to see Biri and Deano fighting for the spot
Thought Birri was off to Victory?
Iss Genreau coming back too?

My post wasn't, of course, suggesting that all the outward moves should not have happened. Rather it was intended to illustrate how much turnover there has been in the two years of Joyce's tenure as manager. I'm left wondering just what this new culture is that Joyce is supposed to be bringing to us? I can't see that you can have any enduring culture when you have such a high turnover of players.
I wonder what will transpire over the next few months. I suspect it will get worse before it gets better. Unless, of course, it just keeps getting worse.

FWIW I want the earliest finals exit possible
That seems consistent with our usual approach anyhow 😅

So here is the situation.
Adelaide have Victory Home Then Brisbane Away. Game Against Victory is tough as Victory can still get into second.
Wellington Us at home then Perth Away. Peth have already won the plate
We Have Wellington Away CCM Home. We havent beaten CCM this year.
4th Adelaide 38 pts GD 2
5th Wellington 37 pts GD 7
6th City 37 points GD 3
To be fair we deserve about 7th so 6th place seems fitting. Even by some miracle we progress to the GF we are undeserving.
Wellington have hit a bit of a form slump away. Rudan departure news confirmed too. Leaves them vunreable.
Still its a long way over the ditch and they have terrific potential. Furthermore, our attack is nothing special so all in all I would think this is looking like a 1-1

As I said, Harrison was giving Wazza and Kisnorbo a mouthful because he and Florin were getting screamed at about tracking back and then moving forward. The fact is that when JMac is one on two and the wings are defensively minded, we can never have a good counter attack.
Harrison was very animated, came off shortly after the outburst, and knowing what we know, Wazza might have an issue with it.
Yeah its good insight. I am on the opposite side of the field so am not privy to those convos! To be fair I thought Adelaide defended extremely well all night and we were far too conservative to take it on. At least we did not concede on a counter - a fate previous incarnations would have likely suffered. 0-0 was a fair result for the game though obviously not what people want to see when they watch football.

Exactly, Florin killed Marone for a good 30 mins and then got double teamed for the rest of the game. A lot of the time Florin and Harrison were hovering around the full back position as per Wazza's orders, something that Harrison gave Wazza a mouthful about in the second half, then was called off shortly after. Can't see Harrison playing next week if Wazza gets his way again.
Care to elaborate?

McGree, Wales and Narjarine

I just got home from work and just watched the highlights. It looks like everyone forgot their shooting boots and we had most of the chances, Baccus featured heavily as well.
Is this the gist of the game?
We had plenty of good chances but Adelaide defended tightly and compactly. We lacked any creativity to sneak our way through and Baccus/Griffiths had more luck barging through.

Matchday, and this forum is as quiet as AAMI Park during a City game after the 15th consecutive backpass
Thats only a minute into the first half. People are still cueing up for their sausages by then.

apparently we are linked with Krishna. saw the rumour shared on facebook today. What do we all think of that? can we honestly fit him in our team? Assuming we keep joyce and we keep to 2 forwards up top, him and jmac? would be bloody potent but they would need hell of a service.
I suspect the current team sheet and 19/20 season sheet are going to look very different.
Krishna would be awesome. Him and JMac is tasty - but no good without some creativity and counter attacking players in the midfield. Its like having christmas without presents.

Wtf since when are Talking City doing Podcasts again??? How many have I missed!
3 or 4..
Which approximates to about 15 minutes of indepth discussion about football and over 200 minutes of quality banter. Get on it.
My dream is one day to feature on the podcast - I will leave KFC wrappers, talk about bike riding and even quality rage about the latest vegan protests. I would even go as far as to give an onside to podular media.

Think this is really good from the league for a change. Clearly highlights how the decision was made and why.
Throw in the video about (was it Gillet?) Refs last game and the on field discussions between players and refs. Seems like a purposeful exercise in building respect towards the refs.

To me it’s not about winning and losing. Ok the forms been poor, but I go to the football for entertainment and watching us play 8-1-1 just isn’t what I call football, regardless of the result. It’s unwatchable. Even the Aloisi madness of long aerials to a “vertically challenged” striker was more entertaining.
What we’ve seen the last two seasons is Dementor-ball.
I concur - results at all costs is barely sufficient justification when results manifest consistently.
The costs to:
- entertainment (viewing and for players)
- establishing a connection between players and fans
- creating a culture of success for which increased viewership and club status is attained
Even if we win the final this year I fear the costs will even then outweigh the benefit (am I really making this argument?). Honestly - we do not deserve it; I feel little to no pride in our club; I feel a lack of connection to City (bar this forum and fleeting reminders of why I fell in love with this club in the first place) - the damage of the past season is too much to be undone by winning at the top (which is doubtful anyhow).
Fingers crossed for the offseason. I will be watching for many early indicators.
Serious question for all - would winning the GF be sufficient justification for what we have wittnessed transpire this season?

I am just looking for a follow up to last week - if we lose that intensity and play without intent it will be such a shame.
Having said that... Watford made me the happiest supporter lastnight and I think I threw my shoulder out celebrating. Made me remember why I love football. Eager as fuck to see the game - just want a good contest. If we lose, at least I will still be on this Watford high.

A win can't generate any excitement on this forum. This thread is only three pages long of which the first page were all posts prior to kick-off.
The wounds run deeper than winning and losing. Serious damage over a long period has sucked the life from the clubs fan community.

How much of this performance can really be put down to Joyce having spent the week talking to god on the big white telephone?
