Luna. Per greenseater workrate was outstanding
No point saying what has already been said. If you were not at the game or did not get a feel for his workrate, watch the game again and track his movements. His press was there for the full 90.
He sure was the peak of what I felt many of our players did well. Hunt in packs, press and cause turnovers from Newcastle. It really was fantastic to see such commitment. The scoreline did not flatter that game, though we did find the final 3rd challenging at times.

Looked unfit to me, not only as a footballer but as a person generally. "Pale and wan" is the expression I would use.
Probably still jet lagged and aclimatising. Reality is, Eric did not need to play him anyway. It was probably a cameo to excite the fans - and it did. That run and cross to Jmac had the whole of the wing on their feet. I think that goes to show the generally excitement with what seems to be an excellent acquisition.

All the errors he's making are going unnoticed while Andy Harper repeatedly froffs over him as Socceroo material.
In comparison to last season he's been extremely disappointing. There's no doubt he's a great athlete for his size but his general play has been clumsy and Good should be the one getting the plaudits.
Perhaps we saw the fruits of (cannot believe I am saying this) Joyce's youth coaching experience bringing the best out of him and forcing him to be accountable. In all of Erics qualities, he is far less punishing in his sideline managing and I can only presume the same goes at training. Arzani and Wales did seem to flourish under him.

I’ve got a question but not sure where else to ask it me and my partner have city blue memberships but we wanna sit in active next game. Can we use our membership or do we need to buy tickets?
Word on the street is just to sneak in at an advantaegous moment. Security is generally lax. Perhaps enter from the corner and make your way across. Be careful not to sit in anyones seat!

fire up everyone! 1v2 away, this game will tell us exactly where we're at.
We know where we are at. This game will tell us where we are not.

If Messi has scored that you’d see it on highlights for decades. Unbelievable goal
If you have not seen the whole game is one that shows what class Mooy is.
Still unbelievable knowing we had him for so long! And the success he has gone on the work hard to achieve. What a guy!

I second this.
Guaranteed W
Depends which City turn up. At our best we are the best, but we are not consistently at our best and will struggle against the most consistent team in the league.
Are we making progress? Yes. In the right direction for sure. But I cannot see us doing Sydney over, nor having a clean sheet. Still, my PL team is Watford and we did Man U over at 2-0. Stranger things have happened in football than City beating Sydney away.

The bench was in disarray while warming up. There's a rift between him and Eric.

Since the beginning of our club, I have been to or watched every single one of our A-League matches, and I cannot recall a game when we played better
I agree. The Mooy era was pleasing on the eye but this was tacitcally beautiful and everyone on the pitch was giving it their all and in sync. I doubt we can recreate it every week but it was an exceptional team performance (the press and the triangle play as well as some great long balls - Glover was a calming presence too.) All round - team performance and hoping it is just the beginning.

C'mon now. As said before, a 4_2_2_2 works well but relies heavily on the the two FBs getting forward. You're going to expect Najjarine to play that role as a FB? And who else?
No Jamo and Galloway at FB. Just trying to think of a solution to stop improve our defence. Teams have us figured and stupidity is doing the same thing expecting different outcomes.

Insistence on just one, same, approach to each match is just a death-wish in terms of results. CFG reminds me of the death of various industries and businesses who "stuck to their strategic knitting" and didn't move with the movement of the world around them - in the end they went under.
I think that the players are realising that. Against Perth, once Perth got the second, they knew they were beaten and they looked like it. A good team and a good strong club would have fought to get back on level terms and get at least a point.
It seems we rarely, if ever, adapt to out smart opposition teams. Teams know what to expect from us now. What about a 4222 and play Najaar with JMac. Griffo and Brilliante 2DMs. Give Noone a spell with Najarine and someone else out wide.

If we are a serious club regardless of what offer we get in Jan we will not sell him till the end of the season.
DO NOT SELL HIM IN JANHows his skin folds?
He is happy here and happy to build the season for the club it seems. Of course, football is business but he knows more than most the a move to a bigger club may be a move backwards in his career - as was his last stint.
Not to say if he keeps up this form there wont be countless offers. His family is here and perhaps an increasing value on his contract. He can play with purpose and ease and build confidence in himself again.
Will be one to watch. City kept Mooy longer than warranted for the hopes of the season. Perhaps they may consider the same here if they want the title. He is making that possible for us alone this season.

Remember when Wazza said he could play in the English Championship. That should've been a warning right there.
He probably meant as a right back - Joycey sees qualities beyond reality.

Jamieson's positioning is an ongoing concern. I'm happy with the idea and role of the inverted FB, I just don't think that he reads the game well enough to be well positioned. It then pulls the whole defensive line out of shape
Precisely - esp with a pacey attack. I thought both teams made a game of it in different periods. Wish I was there!

Drop good for Winticker or Delbo?
Need to see more from Jamo tbh but the system we play does make us liable at the back. Its like JVS except we still manage to win (bar Bris). Great to be on top!

CFG spent all the money on CFA but we still get a highly unusual amount of soft tissue injuries
I know it seems high, but is there any relative data compared with other teams in the league?

I've been a defender of Bouzanis, as I think all keepers in this league are roughly the same. They all make mistakes, that's why they play here
But his mistakes are now getting more frequent and it's all from his positioning. His actual shot stopping is pretty good
It's now becoming a 50 50 call between him and Glover
Saying nothing of Deano - is Glover any good?

The bloke is cooked... what gives?

Should have more rotations be made on Sunday to keep the lads fresh for this game?

A short synopsis: our sense of entitlement leaves us without a fighting spirit. Our football philosophy leaves us without a plan B.
Poor showing. I didnt mind losing - credit to Adelaide. But piss poor from City.
