Cahill's contract with Hangzhou Greentown ends on the 20th of July, so don't think will hear an announcement while hes still contracted there.

Good to see FFA getting rid of some restrictions of what clubs can do.
-
Club needs more City Blue tbh

I'm assuming we will still wear the new most white kit
so basically wearing "City Blue" now would be damaging SFC brand but in 12 months it will be fine according to FFA.

Absolutely
Or 'allow us to change or we will pull out or at least pull back'
Or maybe not, I didn't realize it said for season 2017/2018 not 2016/2017 so what are we wearing this season?
-
Lol was probably part of the agreement of signing Cahill

Unfortunately we will not win tonight.
And if we somehow do win tonight, then we are going to win the league and finals.
and JVS is re-signed for 5 years?

Hoping for a win, Think it will end up 1-1

If he wasn't our Marquee it wouldn't be so bad but when City is the richest club in competition our Marquees have to be Top 5 Players in the league but Koren struggles to be a starting player let alone a star of the league. Probably the worst signing the club has had when you consider the expectations.

I confess I've never understood what the A-League badge is supposed to represent. It makes me think of something like an exploding galaxy in distant space. Any clues?
"The spherical A-League logo was designed by Coast Design Sydney. The two-toned ochre colours represent the sun, earth and desert while the 'glow' emanating from the centre of the logo depicts the playing season's spring and summer time span. The eight 'A' figures that make up the ball shape represent the eight foundation clubs of the league"

Maybe the Club could sign 2 Marquees, One in replace of Koren and the other as a Guest and then they could take Mooys spot when he leaves.
-
Is there any other comp in the world they restricts a team to wearing a certain % of a colour? As long as our home kit doesn't clash with other teams or get mistaken for other teams it shouldn't be problem at all.

Ramsey was a more effective player for us than Koren has been

Think it will just be reverse of Manchester City's home kit.

All this talk about guest players etc how about i throw in Steven Gerrard currently at Liverpool to just keep fitness levels up. Well how about it? could he be available for a guest stint in the A league specificaly to us???
Unlikely still contracted to LA Galaxy. Don't think they would want him missing any pre season to play a few games in Australia. Could happen next season but reports suggest he plans to retire and go in to coaching.

"Industry sources suggest it values Melbourne City in excess of $200m, though Manchester City remains the jewel in the crown, valued at more than $2.5billion"
Find this hard to believe CFG bought Melbourne Heart for around 11 million and now not even 2 years later its worth $200m, more than double what CFG paid for NYCFC licence.

dugandzic now williams why don't they just take Koren while they are at it.

Lol Melbourne and NY will have more sky blue on their badges than Manchester.
Yeah the colours would have suited us better actually since our home shirt mostly white with some sky blue.

Exactly, City fans will love it as it's exactly what they've been asking for for years now. It's just their old badge with a slight tweak.
Not everyone on Blue Moon is happy about it.. Main complaint is that many would prefer it to say Manchester City Football Club instead of just Manchester City.

Wish he would just fuck off, hard to be optimistic every season while he is still the coach
