  1. True enough, but as I saw someone else point out recently, none of our senior team, EDS and U18s have lost a single game in any competition since the 1-0 defeat to Sunderland in November... It may well be true that you saw it somewhere fella, and well done you for pointing that fact out here.

  3. Ta. So 27 games against 9 opponents. How does that work for home and away games given that each plays each other three times? How is it decided who gets the extra home games? they tend to alternate it every year. Ta

  5. How many league games are there, and how many more before the final series starts?
  6. Well done Heart. Saw the last 10 minutes and the last goal. Looks like you were determined with 10 men. Who was sent off?
  7. Ironic in that Australia's wealth is founded on exploiting the country's natural resources. Oh, and that Murdoch is a humble cock.
  8. There's some debate on Bluemoon as to when this game can/could/should/will be played... http://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=296549&start=610
  9. Not at all. Some will have emigrated to Australia with their club allegiances, some will have adopted their parents' club allegiances, some will have followed their friends' allegiances, some will have started to support successful teams, some will have started to support prominent teams, and some will have started to support teams for the seemingly most inconsequential of reasons. I know this because, as we know from Bluemoon, City is supported around the world for all of these reasons. And some in Australia will, quite naturally, support teams in other national leagues for exactly the same reasons. And what I believe is that, once past a certain age, that commitment will be lifelong. Very much like religion. I would put that age at fairly young, say up to early adolescence, when the individual starts to appear. Consequently, I believe that someone who comes to football as an adult will not be as committed to a chosen team as would be the case in childhood.
  10. City drawn at home to Chelsea in the 6th round (last 16) of the FA Cup. It is Maureen's birthday today so what a birthday present that was! Chelsea have just managed a 1-0 home win against Stoke today - an Oscar free kick. The game at Etihad Stadium should be good to watch, to be played the weekend of 15-16 February. The other draw of the round is Arsenal vs Liverpool. Everton will be at home to Swansea, which should also be a cracker. That's most of the televised (in UK) matches taken care of, if not all of them - I don't follow what the satellite broadcasters do.
  11. Haha! Just noticed the closing date! Either the closing date hasn't been edited properly in the email template or I've been deliberately excluded from the survey(!) Can't remember having received it already. Haven't tried to complete the survey yet - finding 15 minutes to concentrate and pontificate is not so easy!
  12. It has been mentioned that Man City canvas the opinion of supporters. This is an example. The email received today. As the links may include coding to identify me, I have replaced the links to the survey with imitation links. And this is the first page of the survey, omitting the array of radio buttons, which I can't get to be reproduced here.
  13. Thinking of CFG as any other global business where resources are moved around the world to maximise business performance, staff development and cultural reinforcement, there could be the possibility of having a City player as marquee as well as taking on youngsters for development.
