One name mentioned a while back that would suit our club is Adrian Mutu. Still at an age where he could offer a lot for numerous years. His goalscoring at professional level is outstanding. His current Contract is apparently worth a little more than $1 million which is not out of the question for us.

Walker has always shown an ability to go forward, but he looks to be getting better defensively too.
Totally agree Sash his looking better every week. We really have to do everything possible to hang onto Jez.
I feel with the Vistors FC doing what they can to get the market share in tassie by playing games here and sponsoring our state league. It looks pretty silly that the only Tasmanian in the a-league is playing for their rivals. Because of this and the fact that they really lack a RB. They might have a crack at him in the off season.

I have high hopes of smashing the record just set last weekend.
A win next week v Wellington then a good showing at home to Adelaide.Could lead to a 15T + crowd when we play WSW at AAMI.
Being a Saturday 5.30 kick off and our last home game for the season,plus if they bring as many down for this as they did for the Victory.
Agree 4 points in the next 2 games and as a minimum their should be atleast 12k.

Just booked myself and 2 mates over for wanderers game. Convinced can sign them up next year even if it's only interstate memberships. Maybe I can start..... One Hobartian At a Time!

I'm sure clubs like stoke, wolves, reading, norwich etc. would all struggle to sign him. If anything he'll go search big money unfortunately. It's only the good hearted footballs like adp that come along one in a hundred..
Exactly. Skybet in the uk are betting where he'll be come next season. 50/1 that he'll be at any a league club let alone the Heart.

The fact this thread has recieved more activity than any other over the past few days really highlights what a shit season it has been...
IMO our season hasn't been that bad. Sure our away form is woeful, but we're still in finals contention.
When you think we lost Hamill Good and Babalj pre season then Marrone and Behich in January. Put that with the face Duganzic was lost for the season in round 7. Fred been injury plagued again. Colosimo the same. Tadic broken toe. Grella played all of 20 minutes. Then Germano Merbrahtu have also had worries.
Just think at times people can be a little harsh IMO.

I can't possibly imagine an international like frank coming to the a-league let alone Heart just over 12 months out from a world cup.

Surely a bigger stronger body like Eli is required. I do think Eli probably should have be subbed when Gol Gol came on last Friday tho.

Hope he gives away a terrible penalty in the 93rd minute, gets a red card for it, we score and it is the winning goal, and in doing the tackle he gets a serious injury and is out for the season

Absolutely not. I reckon this signing will disrupt the back line and throw Vrankovic/Colosimo out of the team when I believe neither deserves it. Would be pretty shitty with the club if he walked into the XI on reputation alone.

Lets not forget despite his very bright future, Vranks has struggled to get into the side all season even when Colosimo was going through a lengthy patch of bad form JA still preferred him at CB.

Wow! Didnt see this coming! Did anyone? Obviously far from confirmed. My opinion a positive for the club as long as it atleast a 15 month contract, preferable 2 years.
