Three convincing wins in a row. Dominated in all three games and we have got what we deserved, 9 points. We are looking way better than 2 competitors in the title race and we definitely can win the silverware!
Hope Adelaide could win tomorrow. If so, we can have our fate in our hands.

You want to change the positions of a goal scoring record breaking striker. Your probably not the only one that is thinking that but they don't belong to this club either.
Tuna may play behind a advanced striker all of his career before coming to us. Losing Mooy there will be lack of creativity in attack. A forward in front of Tuna will create more space for him and he may finish next season with 10+goals and 10+ assists, why not?
-
Am I the only here thinking we should sign a striker if Mooy leaves us? A tall forward ahead tuna and let Tuna play as a shadow striker or attacking midfielder. Keep Zullo play him as left winger. Just imagine the quality crosses from Zullo and Novillo.

Wilkinson is city's long-waited level-headed central defender. He has enormous influence on this team and his composure helps defence a lot, so glad we beat other team to have him.
How good is Malik's man marking! I think he did really well in the past three weeks to shut down Bonevacia, Ninikovic and Carruscca today. Credit to him.
IMO, next week's game with Brisbane is probably the most exciting match since Derby 1! No matter what happened this week, if we win next week, we come first for at least one night, at our home!

Sydney won today, confidence is high but bodies are tired.
If we can't score in the first 30min we may see a boring draw as a huge bus in sydney's area

People go to BBL game for Mexican waves, beach balls and fireworks. We go to football game for winning feeling. That is the difference
Why can we continue to play 5-3-2. Play Novillo and Tuna up front and Mooy behind them to be the playmaker. Both wing back overlap to attack

When u watching the game, you saw three roar players on our left side attacking Gooch and Retre, and Novillo even not in the TV screen, u know we will not win
Seriously, Novillo's recent form is not good enough and looks like he is unhappy, what happened?

Yes he is sadly, according to a report on him that was published today:
He was apparently fit briefly at the start of this EPL season around July, September this year, but re-injured that troublesome hip and has been sidelined since then.
This guy's luck is so poor! Hope he can get his body right and maybe comeback to us

Agree with this. IMO it's hard to overstate the importance of building this club's status and profile. It'll make it easier to sign more quality players in the future as well, so there would be benefits over the long term if Melbourne City can become more renown internationally than the other A-league clubs (there's also the added bonus that it weakens our rivals at the same time while it strengthens us).
I'd say the club did a solid job going into this season. Several A-League clubs wanted to sign Ivan Franjic, including Sydney FC, his former club Brisbane Roar, and Melbourne City proved it has the pulling power to get his signature. We signed one of Sydney FC's top rated striker Corey Gameiro, right from under their nose whilst they were trying to re-sign him. And we signed Western Sydney's most highly rated young player in Steve Kuzmanovski.
So I'm hoping the club can build on this good work, and lure some quality players from other A-League clubs next season.
The best free agents for next season are the up and coming young players IMO, especially Alex Gersbach, Chris Naumoff, Jimmy Jeggo, and Brisbane's Devante Clut, Brandon Borrello and James Donachie (Brisbane seem to consistently fail to tie down their good players to appropriately long contracts, so we should exploit that).
As for our LB next season I'm really hopeful that the club can re-sign Aziz Behich. He's out of contract at the end of the season, and IMO he's the only former player that this club really must re-sign at some point. It would be an awesome win-win reunion.
Hi Murf, talking about former players, what is the status of Curtis Good? Is he still suffering from hip injury?

That's news? Mooy thinks it would be a dream come true to play in the EPL?
The hurdle for what passes for "news" seems to get lower and lower every year.
It is even worse when you saw the video in HS website says "Mooy on the move?"

Exactly what i said on here a few weeks back.
Yes he then scored on his left against Perth but he is very one sided. Both goals on the weekend showed that. His right side is so strong however and he instinctively uses the outside of his right foot like it's his left anyway.
So it's not a problem at this point and the bottom line is he has 9 goals already, so he's crushing this league.
Agree, Bruno is a very one sided player. He has to make some adjustment before taking a shot. It is okay in A-league, but in the europe, he will not have that much time to make adjustment. This explains that he could not score goals before but have a lot assists.
However, Tuna is the best striker we have ever had

Vote for Franjic as I know everyone will vote for Mooy. This guy have 2 assist this game and seriously Franjic makes the defense better

If you want to attract Chinese people please change the colour to RED! Start from Melbourne City!
2 minutes ago, Baka1 said:Well Melbourne does have a large Chinese population so this is good for crowds (if we actually become consistent, not with jvs though), as well as keeping the red
Yes, there are lots of Chinese people here and few of them care about football. Most of people who watching a-league here support tards, because we don't win games and tards had exposure to ACL.
Last year the arrival of Villa attract some Chinese people come to watch us and the fact is we cannot win any of those games

Does anyone know whether it is the first time that all players standing in a circle before kick-off?
I cannot recall any game prior today we have done that

Garuccio has had an absolute nightmare of a game, it's actually painful to watch
I think he did not too bad in the first half
and second half, when he realised that it is Clisby behind him. We all know what happened
I cannot believe JVS sent out such a young backline, where two of them are not naturally defender, but everyone know JVS won't move Paartalu to Central defender
JVS managing rule no.1: sub has to be like for like

this game's reminded me just how shit Mate Dugandzic is
It is really awkward that I felt so comfortable when the ball is under Dugandzic's feet
Next moment feeling embarrassing that he played for Heart/City that long

Don't go into Reserved Seating. Go into the MVFC & Melbourne City members section.
Found the right barcode now, used to type in the wrong one the club sent me

Just to add to what I said before, look at Al Jazira's foreign players.
Vucinic and Farfan, both came in on €6m euros transfer fees and apparently Farfan is on €10m a season, and Vucinic would surely be on similar.
But we give our best player a new contract worth $800k a season and ol mate over here is claiming we are the richest club in Asia
If u comparing the foreign players or budget, I would say there will be 10 teams in China is spending way more than us
-
Are you sure? I thought he was merely the chairman of the holding company. Big difference between Chairman and owner.
Sorry, it is my mistake. He is the chairman of the Al-Jazira holding company and the company owns the club

He will play quite well, but I still think he should play a bit forward and just behind a advanced striker.
