Young Polak
Just to inform any eBay users who haven't heard.http://in.mobile.reuters.com/article/idINKBN0E10ZT20140521?irpc=932 Just be aware of what is potentially at risk here, birth dates, e-mails and passwords have been taken from majority of eBay accounts. eBay themselves won't say how many are compromised but if you use the same password for other sites, this will be a safety concern as well. Take care. Edited May 23, 2014 by Young Polak
Tesla
Password reset email sent today and it advises to change your password on other sites if it's the same one. They'd previously said they use a 'proprietary' encryption method, which probably means it's shit.No excuses for storing non-encrypted (like Sony I think it was did, when they got hacked) or poorly encrypted passwords that can be cheaply attacked when encryption methods like bcrypt are readily available.
