cadete
I think it could be confusing using "Yankee Doodle" for COYBIR and another chant...
thedukeofhearts
Robbie Wielaert and his back 4 fighting for our freedom Standing tall with balls of steel You know you'll never beat him Robbie Wielaert he's our man he is our duuutch saviour you might as well give up now and do yourselves a favour. hmmmm needs work but might give someone ideas to play with. All the brain storming helps. I think the chant would sound different to the COYBR one is sung slighty slower.
alexiano
IMHO, the Yankee doodle just dies and people do it half assed. Feels like noobs don't even know it's yankee doodle. Does it really belong on the back of COYBIR (even though it's always been that)? The sooner we lose references to victory in our chants the better. The current RW is disturbing. Robbie Wieleart and his men Fighting for our freedom Keeping balls out of the box There's no way you can beat him. He's always shows his stardom Robbie Wieleart he's our man Hero of our back four If you try to sneak on past you'll find your self on the floor Edited November 16, 2013 by alexiano
cadete
1. Of course it's needed in COYBIR, otherwise it will sound retarded. 2. Nothing wrong with a reference to an enemy in a UK style Chant.
theresonlyonebzamora
I'm with alexi on this one, but I do agree that the Yankee Doodle dandy is needed at the end of COYBIR. I really like the current RW tune but the last line makes me cringe every time. I don't disagree that there's nothing wrong with including a stab at your rivals but it just sounds so cheesy

Constantly referring to the 'other' club.
