A great shame because he definitely had another season left in him and will be very difficult to replace.
A fine player and captain. Proper defender.
Good luck to him in the future.
-
Has he not been sacked yet?

Bendtner is an arse and fucking useless

I feel this is a good time to get this thread going again. So far we've got:
- JVS staying, given 8 weeks into next season
-JVS already sacked. Announcement post grand final
-Gerrard to be our marquee
Gus Hiddink will be our new manager. Appointed once Chelsea have played last game of season.

It was a poor trade for Malik but he has proved himself to be an absolute prick. And get some proper socks fffs
-
He may be a reliable defender but he is definitely not a competent midfield player. Never in a million years.
-
He will now be sacked, of that I am certain. CFG have effectively sacked a man who has led his team to the semi finals of the European Champions League so they will not hesitate to sack JVS after seeing the season go up in flames with 3 abject defeats in the last 4 games.
I do not believe that JVS is as poor a manager as his more strident critics on here suggest but ultimately he has failed and must go.

Garrucio is a fucking awful player.

Patrick Viera in.
I genuinely believe this could happen
Never in a billion years.
Viera is too important to the youth development of City. He is worth far more to man city than he is to us.
The even call the youth development team "Viera's team".
Zero to No Chance.
Nonsense. I watch every home game of the EDS side and nobody at Hyde has ever uttered such a thing in 2 years. Patrick has ambitions for management and a spell managing Melbourne would be another stepping stone towards getting the City job eventually. Managing at u21 level will not aid his development especially as most of the young players will not even get a chance.

Aw shucks. Tough shit

He was excellent today. Distribution impressed me too.

Well for a start, as our much improved 2nd half display today proved, we are a more effective attacking unit when Damien Duffer is out of the way.
He has no pace, his so called trickery usually ends in him retreating backwards and the move stalling, his crosses invariably fail to beat the 1st defender and he has the football brain of a 12 year old.
Was really impressed by the work rate the team showed in the 2nd half. The high pressing game was excellent, Melling ran himself into the ground, Brown and Dugandze were lively and if only Williams could finish.
Chapman was solid, Kisnorbo a fine leader, Velaphi looked assured and Mooy even when not quite at is best is outstanding at this level.

Add Duff to that list.
He has always been vastly overrated, but now he is just an enigma.

Geez this forum is bi-polar.....
Pathetically so. Some need urgent medical attention.

Who was Kis slappin around after the game? What was that all about? Didn't look great.
Yeah, couldn't work out who he was slapping and why.

It's great to get a win. But in the back of my head I can't help but think chances are this win is actually a bad thing. There wasn't really any great signs of improvement, Brisbane just happen to be even shitter than us,especially in the goalkeeping department. So I don't see us gaining any great momentum from this win, and therefore all this win will do is buy JVS more games which we will then continue to under perform in.
What a pile of crap. How can a win be anything but a good thing?
You are talking bollocks sunshine.

Excellent win.
Mooy was awesome.
P.S.Who was Kisnorbo giving a slap round the head to after the final whistle? Looked like one of his team mates but couldn't tell from the TV pictures.

Good start imho.

Is Williams injured?
P.S. The negativity on here is startling. It is us POMS that are supposed to be pessimistic.
hard to be positive after 4 shit seasons
Aw diddums. As many as 4 eh? Fucking nothing.
only had 4 seasons, in a salary capped league that's pathetic

You need to have been a MCFC supporter to know hard times. We were shit for nearly 4 decades, not 4 seasons.
Maycon & Mifsud. We win.
Nice 1.

Excellent 1st half. The 2 full backs are a concern but apart from Murdocca (no end product as usual) I think all have done well.
The 2 centre backs have been outstanding.

Based on that daft logic, no one would ever be qualified for coaching. You have to start somewhere.
